Money Talks - The best of Luxurylaunches

bestofLL.jpg
The ‘Most Expensive’ and the ‘Blinged stuff’ never fail to make it to the Luxurylaunches. How can we miss the most luxurious happenings around the world? As the Jewel Royale Chess Set carries the honor of the ‘Most expensive chess set’, I am so much in awe of this ornamented game that I just cannot make any move. For the gadgets section we have the Million Dollar Notebook by Luvaglio from London. And if you are interested in some rare and antique stuff then the 'World’s Oldest Camera’ is up for auction and is estimated to fetch a whopping 1 million euros! For an avant-garde air travel, take a look at this Rocket Belt that is priced at $250,000. We do have a bit of sad news too in this world of luxurious travel. Renowned comedian Eddie Griffin crashed (beyond repairs) a Ferrari Enzo worth 1.5 million dollars while practicing for a charity race to promote his upcoming film, Redline. And Mr. Simon Steggall, airplane model enthusiast, crashed his 16ft replica of a nuclear bomber - Vickers Valiant worth $30,000. The whole thing just went up….in flames! Lastly some blinged cricket news too as a diamond studded cricket ball worth $68,500 was created to be presented to the best Indian Cricketer of the ongoing World Cup Series at West Indies. Alas, India is out of the series now. I wonder about the fate of the blinged cricket ball.

Retro Telephones for old school Helllos

red.jpg
Yeah, we know all about the latest techie phones, but forget that stuff! Sometimes it gets too disgusting with all those complicated unneeded features. Dare to be basic and different? First introduced in 1949, retro phones bring back that 50's look and feel of old school. This ever-popular desk style set was the most commonly used phone in the United States. These Retro Telephones are completely authentic models from the 70s. They are simply reorganized with modern phone sockets. Each stylish hunk of plastic is guaranteed to bring the memories flooding back the second you poke your finger in the dial. I love the idea of playing with that curly cable with my fingers whilst yakking away about the neighbor’s boyfriend-scandal.

nokia7088cellphone1.jpg
Last month my cell (Nokia) broke down and I was compelled to pick a new model. I was thrilled as I had a legitimate excuse to pamper myself to the latest ones on the shelves. holytoast1.jpg
Were you bombarded with the stories of Mother Mary appearing on a half eaten toast, which was eventually sold on eBay? Just for the record, there is no guarantee that eating the embossed Mother Mary Holy Toast will wash away all your sins. You will still have to go to the church and say plenty of Hail Mary! for that.

Cup Couture Sleeves look delicious on the Coffee Cup

coffee1.jpgCoffee on the go is always welcome, but did you ever ponder for a moment, that the cardboard sleeves you usually get with your morning coffee can add up to 6-10 lbs. of paper waste a year? Now, that’s not an excuse for you to run out and buy the Cup Couture Sleeves. But I would simply get them because they look so hot and happening. The fashions inspired styles are environmentally friendly too. They fit most 12, 16 and 20 oz. hot beverage cups. Thermally insulated and reusable, they fold flat to fit into your purse, what’s more should it get dirty, simply machine-wash it in the delicate cycle (except for the faux fur styles, which are surface clean only), and line dry.
