Aquavac - Whacks the germs away!

electronicteatowel_small.jpgOxley is a smart guy. Who is Oxley and how do I know he is smart? Well, student designer Paul Oxley is someone who has come up with a contraption called ' Aquavac'. Aquavac helps you from getting your hands dirty by eliminating that smelly, wet, and dirty countertop towel from your kitchen. The Aquavac, is a small countertop wet vac, allowing you to wipe up spills by sucking them into its bowels. I think you can also dry your wet hands during cooking with Aquavac and stay prim and proper 24x7. Let the germs go for a life-long holiday. Hence, I say he is a smart guy, hygienic too.

Mouse Soap is Cute

There are soaps and there are soaps. And then there are 'Mouse soaps'. No, don't be silly and think its a soap meant for mice or something. Its a mouse-shaped soap, apt for geeks n nerds and for anyone who likes to like different things. Don't thank me, thank Yeduo which is a company in Taiwan and has conceptualized the idea of the mouse soap.

It comes with a clear, rigid plastic bowl, with 3 non-slip feet. Inside, there is a multi-slitted bowl that contains the salad. Tech Chair all you need to do is sit!

chair.jpg
Planning a holiday in Maldives? Well don't forget to take the 'Tech Chair' along. It is everything you need and also everything you might not need on a holiday. There is no harm in sitting chaise longue at the beach but with 'Tech chair' you would love to replace the deck chair. I think it is extremely comprehensive with solar fabric that protects your products to docking stations for cameras, iPods and laptops and also access to thousands of songs, videos, movies, podcasts, games, and photos, as well as Wi-Fi internet access from the beach or poolside. I think its really cool to click your pictures and upload them the very same time on your laptop. Its an amazing way to keep your friends posted on all the fun you are having. Especially your grumpy boss, who would go green with envy. Custom-fitted docking stations would recharge the gizmos using solar power. The USB 2.0, Firewire and MP3 connections are all in-built in the concept.

Video Games or Men...Women know it all!

hwd-wii.jpg
I think all those who are of the opinion that women are all about shopping, pink, hello kitty and make-up need to wake-up and fast. There isn't any domain that is left with just men and most of them have, after accepting defeat, handed the reins to the fairer sex. Despite that I fail to understand why women are secluded when it comes to gaming and being a part of the virtual world. I think the stereotypes should go to sleep and only wake up to reality. According to the International Game Developers Association, women represent 40 percent of all gamers. And although the Entertainment Software Association pegs that number at about 38 percent, it found that the average female gamer plays games 7.4 hours per week. As far as gaming is concerned, it is a known fact that women are not only ace players but also game developers and very conspicuous member of the gaming community, even though male chauvinist pigs would like to believe otherwise.

Runway Radiance Illuminating Cream by Calvin Klein

ck.jpg Calvin Klein products are a hit in my book, they rarely ever miss. Runway Radiance Illuminating Cream seems like a right choice for all those who want to make their skin glow. Besides giving your skin a nice glow, it also adds moisture to take care of the dryness and attempts to hide facial imperfections. The cream can be worn alone and there aren't any problems if mixed with other foundations either. Runway Radiance Illuminating Cream is priced at $25 for 0.7 oz. I think this light-diffusing and long wearing cream won't disappoint.

MioPINK Motiva Heart Rate Monitor Watch is a must have

MioPINK.jpg
Every girl, no matter how perfectly fit is always trying to shed off those extra pounds and get 'fitter'. So if you have a fitness regime and no personal trainer, then MioPINK Motiva Heart Rate Monitor Watch will be just the thing for you. The watch does its usual business of displaying time and date on an LED backlit screen, but it also has an EKG monitor that keeps a track of your heart rate. I'm thinking I could use this neat feature to check which guy sets my heart racing more, I can even have numbers to prove it. Another thing I like here is that it keeps a count on your daily calorie intake and then measures it against what you are burning.

3G iPhone now available

apple-iphone-3g.jpg
Last year, it was the iPhone that had almost everyone swooning. This year, its the 3G iPhone that has everyone's pulse racing. While I don't see what the big deal about any apple product is (my iPod crashed 3 times), I love the sleek black look of this phone. It has a sexy black back, but if you grab it too much, everyone is going to know as fingerprint smudges are easily visible on it. So be careful and remember to keep your hands clean. Besides this little famous apple feature of dirty fingerprints, the phone has a vast number of new and improved features. One that deserves a mention is that the SIM is now removable with the help of a prodder they provide.

Wearable Cell phone concept is cool

wearable_phone.jpg
Watches are just like a fashion accessory providing no better functionality than reading time. But we never ever imagined that a cell phone could be strapped on to your wrist like a watch, and yet manage to deliver advanced utility. This above featured wearable cell phone is perfect for fashion victims who like wearing it like a jewel with a special cover and elastic string along with an elegant dress (I’m not sure about that) Often, we put away our cell phones into bags either because of it’s irritating ring tones or for the fear of losing it somewhere. But if the phone is leashed to your wrist, you know immediately that you have to attend to a call when it’s on the vibrating, and there isn’t even an excuse for you to say you missed the call.

Yoyo Lamps might not be good for tricks, but they are ultra mobile

yoyo_lamp.jpg
First off, its hard not to talk about the design of these lamps and that is its most striking feature. Who can not love something that looks like oversized Yoyos? Makes me want to grab one and try my skills. Besides giving the lamps a super funky look, the design is such for convenience as well. Catarina von Matérn + Lisa Lindström brainstormed together and came up with this novel idea for Elmar Flötotto. It makes these cute lamps mobile and they can be stretched around to where ever the light is required. The cord is 16 meters long and it is rolled around the centre of this 18 inch lamp. It is made out transluscent Polyethylene which gives out a soft light (perfect for my taste). As far as durability goes, it does fine if you don't use it as your favourite play thing.

A nice snug ostrich patterned laptop case by 21st Century Diva

blue_ostrich_laptop-case.jpg
Personally, I like stuffing my laptop in my backpack, I'm not into those bulky bags specially made to carry laptops. Another option open is to try out a sleeve, however it has never looked too appealing until now. 21st Century Diva has come out with an attractive laptop sleeve. It is made from real leather, has ostrich patterns all over it and is suede lined to keep your notebook safe. The one big problem I see is that it only fits up to 13.3 inches. What about all of us who prefer a bigger screen over mobility?

Algorithmically generated jewelery is a girls new best friend!

nervous-jewelry-1.jpg
Designers Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg of Nervous System have come up with unconventional ways of making jewellery with unconventional material and the results known as algorithmically generated jewellery, have to be seen to be believed. By combining materials like silicone rubber and stainless steel and rapid prototyping methods, they create beautiful nature-inspired designs. This is evident in various designs like Dendrite that is heavily inspired by the aggregate growth of coral, Radiolaria which is more like lace-like structures while Algae and Lamina are on their way.

JBL Spyro 2.1 Speaker system

jbl-spyro_1.jpg
The JBL Spyro components certainly remind me of shrinking violets. They look nothing like a compact 2.1 channel system with speakers and subwoofer. (Which it verily is) The speakers are a delicate beauty apt for the goodness of your living room décor, whereas the subwoofer bear a resemblance to an alien spaceship taking a legendary landing on the earth’s crust.
