Study shows sports cars turn women on…really?

sports_car.jpg
The MCP’s are at it again. Claims are that sports cars turn woman on. Sports car may turn women on, but not if the guy who owns the swanky car is a total loser. It’s really not all about the moolah or how much can that rich brat take you shopping (In his sports car, of course!). According to a study recently conducted by British insurer Hiscox. David Moxon subjected 40 men and women to the sounds of a Maserati, Lamborghini and Ferrari, then measured the amount of testosterone in their saliva. Everyone had significantly more testosterone after hearing the exotics, and all of the women were turned on by the Maserati (Isn’t that a better car anyways?). The guys, on the other hand, were drawn to the Lamborghini. "We saw significant peaks in the amount of testosterone in the body, particularly in women,” I think this survey was more of a formality. Isn’t it obvious that smart women would be turned on by sports cars than spoilt sports men? Because among cars and men it’s the car that is a winner, hands down.

Palm Centro dons two new avatars: Rose and Lime!

Palm-centro-sprint.jpg
The very popular Palm Centro is back in a new avatar. I wouldn’t wanna add any adjectives since it hardly does anything much to earn a compliment. They are seen in pink and green. The pink is a welcomed change in comparison to the older pink Centro, with a much darker appearance. The green however looks disgusting. They probably ran out of colours on the palette to have chosen this yucky looking green. No word if there might be any additional software-related changes to accompany the new Treos but it's fairly safe to assume that purchasers of these new colours (rose and lime) will likely receive the latest ROM version.

Woman left confused with Lego parts!

dressup-lego-1.jpg
This is a classic case of confusion followed by chaos. Confused lady’s confusion causes chaos at Lego and rightfully so. To know more read on. It so happened that a woman got a box in the mail from LEGO to celebrate their anniversary or a new line or something. But when she opened the box and pieced together the parts they formed puzzlement! There was no dearth of pink dress tops and female haircuts and cleavage too all coupled with that handsome red moustache. So basically it looked like an army of trannies. This is what Lego has to say, “Each kit was supposed to contain an assortment of random parts; however, it looks like yours somehow consisted only of angry moustache faces.

Leather and Snakeskin MIDI Controllers by NYC electronic artist Rucyl Mills

elektro-07_midibag.jpg
I dunno what was NYC electronic artist Rucyl Mills thinking when he planned to make something like the Elektro-07 music controller? It’s a good thing that he made a music controller but why did he have to make it wearable and that too this hideous looking. I guess he justifies his product best so ill just let him have his say. He says, “I built the elektro-07 so I could control the sonic and visual parameters of my live performances without having to look deep into the eye of my laptop, hunched over in computer music stance. I’m still learning how to play it. Software wise, it runs a maxMSP/Jitter patch smoothly, connected to my laptop by a long USB cable. Major thanks to Luke DuBois.

The Yves Saint Laurent Volcano tote is a volcano of chic and style. Kudos to YSL for incessantly bringing us classic pieces that work great for almost any occasion. After binging on big and bigger bags all season this bag which I think is perfectly sized is an uplifting change. You would want a not so big bags among the other hundred big ones right? The soft brushed gold color is neutral enough to work into any wardrobe while the signature “Y” stitch accents the bag perfectly.

A mouse that looks like a swan!

crystal_mouse.jpg
Finally we have a mouse that actually looks like a swan for the fiery yet feminine femina of today. The credit goes to the talented trio Jeremy Doherty, Imon Doherty and Dareen Doherty from New Zealand who won rank one in a competition organised by Designboom. The shape of the mouse is very artistic metaphor of a swan. The neck of the mouse carries a sparkling crystal that can be used as a toggle button. The mouse is wireless, so the swan looks more like a show piece, without any wires protruding out of it. The design comes with a Swarovski logo at the base of the swan. I have fallen for this swan with the pink crystal!

The Gorillapod Go-Go keeps your gadgets high up in the air!

gorillapod_gogo.jpg
The Gorillapod Go-Go is something you might need if you happen to be a photographer or even if you own stuff like cellphones, PDAs, GPS units and even handheld gaming devices which we know you do. I did think it to be somewhat related to gorillas but that’s the last thing it is related to. The only common thing would be the name. It’s basically a miniature tripod but with flexible legs that can be strategically positioned or wrapped around objects to provide a sturdy mount for your camera. It's a clever little accessory that'll hold up virtually any of your gadgets, with its multiple attachment options such as suction clips and high-bond adhesive clips. It’s a neat thing to own when you have your hands busy with a lot of other things! Retails for $29.95.

Sydney's annual stiletto race has women (and men) running on high heels mate!

sydney_stiletto_race_1.jpg
These ladies sure know how to strut their stuff and that too on high heels. Not too forget the very ridiculous looking men on the run too. I think they do deserve a clap and a pat on the back for pulling off this ordeal of sorts. Sydney's annual stiletto race attracted 265 stiletto-wearing runners who were all vying to get a step ahead of each other to take the highly-coveted shoe. The racers who wore a minimum of three-inch heels took part in the 80 metre sprint, which resulted in a mass pile-up after runners jostled for position.

Hello Kitty Kubrick by Quolomo and Medicom Toy

hello-kitty-kubrick.jpg
We just can't get enough of Hello Kitty. So here's some more news from the world of this pretty feline icon. Quolomo and Medicom Toy have combined forces to unleash on the world the awesomeness of a 400% Hello Kitty Kubrick toy. Okay, okay, I'm getting carried away here. It's just a plain, simple. No frills Hello Kitty dedicated toy figure. They are aiming for high standards of high quality and originality though. We know how many tacky kitty products are coming out these days, so this is a relief. Hello Kitty Kubrick seems to be available only in Japan. The price as of now is ¥8,190 or $77. I like how prominent the red bow is around the white body.

Let Hello Kitty DJ Speaker rock your world

hello-kitty_dj_speaker.jpg
Hello Kitty world is divided into two categories. One is for the haters and the other is for the lovers. Haters please retreat and the lovers keep your eyes glued. Some claim that this cute kitty is slowly taking over the world and you might just be right. This time around, we are presenting you the Hello Kitty DJ Speakers. The speakers are super cool especially since the DJ style kitty keeps bopping her head back and forth. Of course, this doesn't happen magically and you will need an AA battery for the head movement. It is a single speaker and isn't amplified, it feeds off whatever audio source it is connected to. Also, it can be attached to things like your stereo, mp3 player, etc.

Sega Toys Japan unveil robot dog lucky

sega_toys_robot.jpg
It’s time to get ‘Lucky’. Just in case I got your brain wheels churning as to how you can get lucky, it’s really uncomplicated. You just gotta make a trip to Japan and get lucky. Sega Toys Japan is selling a robot dog specifically designed for children between 4-8 years old. He's incredibly charming and dutiful. Lucky does tricks like handstands; he barks when spoken to; and can respond to a total of 13 spoken phrases. Lucky will react to commands such as “sit”, “there, there”, “sit up and beg” etc. What is really lame is that for some really peculiar reason lucky can sing too. The dog stands 25 cm tall and is equipped with 3 mini motors and if it ever makes it to the Unites States of America, it will cost $86.
