iPod notesbog a trendy case for your iPod

If you own an iPod, this next product is made for you. Named the “iPod notesbog” (the iPod pad), it is an iPod case with an integrated notepad. A product of the Danish company Scripta, it is already a favorite with me. Made of leather, it features a notepad on one side and the holder for the iPod on the other side. With trendy and vibrant color options this case is all set to make a style statement. The case has a hole for the earphones at the bottom and it is designed in such a way as to allow access to all controls while your player rests in its new home. The notepad is a great addition as it allows you to doodle away while you listen to your favorite tunes.
Pac-Man Christmas tree is geeky

It's Christmas time and that means an army of strange/innovative/pretty Christmas trees. My vote goes to the geeky ones and that's exactly what this Pac-Man Christmas Tree is. Some enthusiastic geeks from Spain have created a stunning huge light display of Pac-Man and his arch enemies in the shape of a Christmas tree. I love it even more, because it is a fully-animated version of the classic coin-op arcade game. There are numerous LED's that make it looks absolutely pretty. Pac-Man will have some fun munching the stars, bells, etc.

JetLag Travel Alarm Clock is tiny and cute

I love all things tiny, everything in mini size looks so much more adorable. Take a look at this JetLag Travel Alarm Clock and you'll see what I mean. It is a rather plain dual-display digital clock, but it looks so sleek and compact. It's pretty obvious that this clock was made for those on the go, but it'll be perfect for people short on space too. Besides that, it is just an adorable little thing. I don't know how easy it would be to locate it when I'm trying to hit the snooze button, but I guess that's a good thing.

Shiny U-22 Jewelry USB drives are tacky

As you all already know, am not at all into ‘bling-bling’ objects. So I would rather not waste my time and money on these gadgets. And the latest gadget, which has simply left me cringing with disgust, is the USB U-22 Jewelry drives from Magnetic Laboratories. Another unique creation by the Japanese people it has failed to impress me. This one is not even genuine, as all the gems encrusted on this USB Jewel are tacky rhinestones. The device comes in three different colors with memory options of 2Gb and 4Gb.
Eye Candy to change your feelings

The makers of certain products should be sued for promising unbelievable results to their users. The latest product that claims to change the way you feel is the Eye Candy. This revolutionary gadget claims to use Sensory Substitution Technology that transmits vivid emotive images into your mind’s eye and in this way changes your feelings. An array of resonators positioned on the surface of an Eye Candy transmit information from the tongue to the brain at the frequency that the eyes usually send visual information to the brain. I think its probably the most fake creation to date. Infact the product should be inspected for its ingredients! If its promising to make you see and feel things, there has definitely got to be something fishy going on here. The makers claim that a pleasant sensation of soda bubbles can be felt on the tongue as the mind decodes the sensorial information as vivid pictures. I would definitely not go in for this product.
S-XL Cake is horrible
This is probably the worst design concept I have ever seen. You just know that the person who created this design has never had a great birthday cake in his life. Why else would he come up with concept for baking a cake that is already cut in slices? Known as the S-XL Cake, a concept by designer Sven Rudolph, it is a baking pan, which comes with built-in portioning sections. So the cake comes out of the oven in neat different sized portions! The housewife just puts the batter in this dish and the differently high levels magically produce piece-by-piece 15 different portions. I think it completely defeats the purpose of baking a nice big delicious cake. As you can see in the picture, all pieces are of different sizes, allowing you to pick the size that matches your appetite.
Gabriela Mombach’s Broto Aeroponic Plant Pot is a great concept
If you haven’t heard of the Aerogarden technology, let me fill you in. Aerogarden is the all in one interior garden solution that provides light, water, and aeroponic tech to allow for easy plant growth. And the latest person to use this technology and develop it into a far more stylish piece of design is Gabriela Mombach. The lady has developed the unique concept known as Broto Aeroponic Plant Pot, which comes equipped with artificial LED lightning and a kitchen counter friendly form. This is definitely a neat piece that will not only look good but also ensure that your plant grows well. Moco Vase finds a place at London’s 100%future of 100% design

I am really not into artistic designer vases, but this one managed to catch my eye. Known as the Moco Vase by Libelle, it was designed by designer Firo Wang in a small porcelain workshop in southern China. The designer named his creation Moco, as it sounds like Mushroom when pronounced in Chinese. I fail to spot the resemblance between the mushroom and this vase, but the guy took almost a month to create this handmade wonder. If you ask me it just looks like a plain over-turned hat. The designer Moco vase was selected for this years 100% future of 100% Design in London. I bet the designer was on cloud nine to receive this honor.
iWave Cube 2 Microwave: never leave your desk for a quick bite again
The gadgets for lazy people like me are just getting better by the day. And this latest iWave Cube 2 Microwave for the desktop is a great gadget to encourage my laziness. This small desktop oven uses 800 watts of power and is a blessing for all lazy people. The Oven uses up less than a cubic foot of space, allowing you to reheat your coffee and other eatables right at your desk. This portable microwave is definitely a great device. But you have to be prepared for side effects like increase in weight and laziness. So if you are ready to take this risk, then carry this mini Oven wherever you go. A great device, it makes sure you never leave your desk (goodbye cafeteria lunch breaks). For $149.95, it has definitely won a place on my desk.
Bandai launch the new Tamagotchi Music Stars

I was a complete Tamagotchi addict as a kid. The simple kid friendly technology simply bowled me over. And the latest Tamagotchi for the ‘Diva’ generation of today is definitely amazing. The new developed line of Tamagotchi’s is created by Bandai and is known as The Tamagotchi Music Stars. This new toy lets you create your very own digital diva or virtuoso with six different options such as Glam Rock, Techno Sound, and Rising Star to choose from. And you can experience the life of a true rising music star, as this Tamagotchi makes your character join a band, go through hours of practice, auditions and rehearsals before making it big. A great way to prepare your kids for the competitive world, this Tamagotchi is already a hit with me.
Liquid Lamp: it's so spooky

If you are considering on gifting your friends something spooky this holiday season, then this lamp should definitely not be overlooked. Known as the Liquid Lamp, it is part of the various furniture collections available at Caina's The Design shop. This lamp not only looks like it has no stand but also sends chills down your spine by resembling an overturned bucket spilling out blood! But if you opt for the red color Lamp the spooky effect is reduced as it looks like an overturned bucket spilling milk or white paint. The lamp is held up by the "frozen" liquid oozing onto the table or down the wall, depending on the lamp's style (wall mount or table top). This unique lamp is hand made one at a time and is definitely a piece of art (if you forget the spooky factor).
Asteroids Watch by John Maushammer

John Maushammer is famous for the Ping-Pong watch he created. However, it seems like he wants to take the watch a step further. He is currently putting effort into coming up includes buttons for changing the mode and a tilt sensor for controlling the paddle. Besides this, there will also be the Asteroids version. There is no doubt that the Asteroids version will be super fun, but it's not confirmed yet as to whether it will be playable or not. I hope it is. I'm eagerly waiting for the geeky Asteroids Watch, as I'm not a big fan of Ping Pong.
