Zigo Leader Carrier Bicycle: A parent powered transport

Zigo_Leader_Carrier_Bicycle.jpg
One look at the Zigo Leader Carrier Bicycle left me dumbstruck for quite some time. Promising to be the first of its kind family powered transportation system, this bicycle allows you to place one or two children in the ChildPod as you peddle away. And if you wish to go solo, the LeaderLink System allows the Leader to uncouple in 30 seconds or less, transforming it into the separate elements, Zigo ChildPod and Zigo Cycle. There is also a unique third mode called the Zigo Stroller mode that disconnects the Zigo Cycle from the ChildPod, converting your Zigo Leader into a fully functional, independent stroller.

Microsoft + Verizon = Pink phone - Hoping for this equation to stand true

verizon-microsoft.jpg If reports are to be believed, Microsoft in collaboration with Verizon is all set to offer a new Windows Mobile-based cell phone called – Pink. And according to a report in the Wall Street Journal the phone could be available early next year. Over the last two years Microsoft has seen rival operating systems gain ground and that could be the reason why the company decided to create its own device in a bid to restore Windows Mobile’s position in the market. Microsoft’s move could put it in competition against handset makers such that use Windows Mobile OS extensively. Wonder if this strategy will backfire or be a best seller. But the name suggests that Microsoft is banking on its female consumers to make this phone a hit. What say girls, any takers for Microsoft Pink?

Girl Tech Password Journal: Security like never before

girl_tech.jpg
Personal diaries with a lock are so passé. Now it’s time for technology to take over the security of your journal. And the Girl Tech Password Journal offers you just that. Based on voice recognition technology, the cover of the journal stays locked until the owner says the secret password. But the security doesn’t end there. Once opened, the girls have to speak aloud to activate the Magic Pen and Glow Light. The girls then write their personal feelings with the Magic Pen and then allow the Glow light that works on voice activation to make the words appear. Simply awesome, the cute pink journal with hi tech features is sure to keep any prying eyes at bay.

Kartell designs glamorous life size doll house for Barbie

kartell_barbie_house.jpg
As a little girl, I was completely in love with Barbie and doll houses. While I've grown out of that phase, I still like some pink in life. Kartell has joined hands with Barbie for the Milan Design week to design the perfect house for this infamous doll. It is a human size house that is extremely glamorous and luxurious. The life-size Barbie looks like she is really pleased with it. I like the little touches that Kartell has added to the house like the limited Barbie version of Philip Stark's Louis Ghost chair. It's a great way to celebrate Barbie's 50th birthday anniversary and Kartell's 60 long years in design.

Peaceful Bomb vase makes a statement against war

Bomb_vase.jpg
War is destructive and bad, we all know that. We must do our bit in protesting against it just like Taiwanese design duo Owen and Cloud have. They've done so in a creative manner by designing this beautiful and striking vase. It is called a Peaceful Bomb and peaceful it is with flowers resting in it. The effect of this pretty piece of art is serene and contradicts everything war stands for. Some of the proceeds from sales of A Peaceful Bomb are donated to "Act Now to Stop War & End Racism" (A.N.S.W.E.R.). So it is for a good cause too. You can support this campaign against war and destruction by buying a Peaceful Bomb for $49 here. The design will look great with any decor.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious Chocolate Dominoes

Chocolate_Dominoes.jpg
I love the Dominoes Fall effect, because it pretty much sums up everything in life. However, what I like even more is Dominoes made out of chocolate as they sum up everything my sweet tooth desires. This playful candy has the delicious goodness of dark chocolate piped with white chocolate dots and filled with rich, silky-soft caramel. The crispy layering has a mouth watering and smooth center. These delectable pieces of candy are made by artists at Christopher Norman Chocolates by hand from start to finish. They are packed domino-style in a box and delivered at your doorstep. I can't wait to have a game of Dominoes in my mouth. They are available exclusively at Williams-Sonoma for $45.

Get comfy on the vintage bus scrolls wingback chair

wingback_chair.jpg A good armchair feels like a heaven and if you add a pinch of quirkiness to it, nothing can be better. One of the best things to do on a lazy summer day is curl up on a comfy chair with your favorite book or TV show. This armchair made by Australian Design company DavidmetNicole (a husband-wife duo) is perfect for that. It is a unique design that uses vintage Australian or English bus scrolls to make this otherwise traditional wingback chair. The leather used here offers smoothness to the chair. I personally love this retro looking design, it takes you back to another era altogether. You can order it for $6,620 from this website. Sit back and relax with the bus scrolls.

Stay chic and stylish during the recession by swapping clothes on Swapstyle

Emily_Chesher.jpg Recession has taken its toll on almost everything, but there is no need to sacrifice on style because of it. Let's face it, shopping has become even more of a guilty pleasure now. So to avoid all the pangs of guilt, why not just swap clothes? And there's no place better to do that than SwapStyle.com. It has easily become the largest clothes swapping community online. This unique website was created by Emily Chesher, 30, also known as The Swap Queen, in 2003 while she was a fashion design student. The motivation came from being broke during her college years, but still striving to be fashionable. This is a free site that lets you swap items like shoes to bags, cosmetics to designer fashion and vintage clothes from the comfort on your home. One reason for Chester creating this site is because of the environmental impact that fashion was having on the planet. But now no clothes and resources go waste, you just keep swapping.

Pucker your lips to open up Kiss The LUVU jewelery box

jewelry_box.jpg
Here is a beautiful jewelery box with a rather quirky design. It's LUVU's 'Kiss The LUVU' that has been launched in the Korean market. It looks really pretty with all the LED lights it comes equipped with. But that's not what catches our attention. The main USP of this gorgeous box is that you have to kiss the box to open it. It has a built in heat detector to know when a pair of lips touch it. Kiss The LUVU is soon going to to showcased at the Jewel Fair Korea 2009. So if you want to catch (or rather kiss) this pretty little thing designed by Jung-Ju Kim, then you know where to be. I love the egg shaped design, it is adorable. While 'Open Sesame' won't do the trick here, a touch of lips will certainly open up the treasures.
