Interead's Cool-er E-book is set to hit the U.S. shores this June

If you are an avid reader and particularly a fan of books, then you know that nothing can replace the pleasant and addictive smell of a new book and the pleasure of holding it in your hand. However, this is the digital age and the new Cool-er E-book reader from British startup Interead is good alternative. This iPod clone as far as looks go is set to make its debut on June 1 in the U.S. It comes with a host of features that include compatibility with documents in EPUB, Adobe PDF and text. Also, it is slimmer and more light-weight than most readers available at the moment. The Coolerbooks.com site has a selection of 750,000 books. This reader will be available only at Interead’s Web sites in the beginning. The 6 inch screen is quite nice and it uses the E Ink technology. The best part is that a single charge will be enough for 8,000 page turns or so the company claims. Also, you will find an in-built MP3 player here along with a range of eight colors. It comes in pink too, so that's a bonus.
USB Jewel Bug Necklace Flash Drive spells style

I personally don't like bugs, in fact I hate them. And who would want a bug on them ever? Well only those who can get a hold of this USB Jewel Bug Necklace Flash Drive. This is one time that I'm not disgusted at the sight of a bug. I'm sure all the pretty crystals it comes with have clouded my judgment. The memory of this flash drive is 8GB. So carry your data around your neck in this bug. Almost reminds me of spy movies where an ultra stylish heroine holds secrets in her accessories. You can buy it for $33 here.
Ultrasound Cell Phone Application allows you to keep a tab on the unborn

I've come across some weird phone application on my journeys through the Internet, but this one has to be the most unexpected discovery. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis has come up with this Windows Mobile cell phone app that can display an ultrasound data feed. How bizarre is that! You can now check on the little embryo in you while on the go. Of course, you will need a 5 MHz portable ultrasound probe that can connect to your phone via USB, but the process is not all that complicated at all. I suppose it is a good way of keeping a tab on the health of the unborn especially if you don't always have the time to go to your doctor. I'm just amazed at how technology has blossomed over the years.
The Body Check Ball helps to keep a track on fitness and health

A weighing machine is nothing but a headache. It's a great way of getting very stressed. I tend to stay away from these good for nothing machines especially since I'm putting on some pounds! That being said, I do like to keep a check on my body's general level of well being. The Body Check Ball seems like a good option to see if you are healthy or not. Just hold the ball in your hand and a pair of electrodes will do the rest. You will get a pretty accurate account of your body fat, bone density and muscle ratio, displaying the good or bad news on a backlit LCD screen. Apparently, it will keep track of all your measurements for comparison.
Muji CD player combines simplicity and style

I kind of thought that the days of CD players were over, but new and hot ones keep popping up to make me change my mind. Check out this really stylish and easy to use player from Muji. It's selling point is the simplicity of its functions. To turn the player on, you merely need to pull the string and voila, you've got tunes to tap your feet to. The top of the player houses the volume and search buttons. The player has undeniable style and it lies in how simple and elegant it looks. Also, it's quite convenient as you can easily mount it on a wall.
Mix-Style headphones land from the streets of Harajuku

Harajuku is one of the funkiest cities of Japan known for the best punk culture. So I’d pretty much don anything that the gods and goddesses of the city dole out. Here’s a set of White, Mix-Style headphones from Harajuku that comes in different styles and colors give you an opportunity to get customizable. You could choose anything from the selection of colorful styles such as the colored stars, the Jamaican Flag as well as the skull.
Poland's building light show plays Tetris, Pong and Mario too

This is something like the flick from the music video “Proper Education”, but not exactly so. A group of students at Wroclaw university of Technology, Poland, who call themselves Projekt P.I.W.O, had recently put up a giant light show. The ten minute show keeps you hooked on to a geeky display of colorful lights that shape up as Pong, Mario, Tetris and Michael Jackson too. It is the best and the longest I have seen so far.
The video after the jump is a must watch!
Bra that counts down to marriage and humiliates by playing wedding march

Marriage is a huge commitment and rushing into it is the last thing that anybody should be made to do. But the Asian country critics have a different view-point; especially the Japanese. Staying a spinster for a long time is as shameful as 3 divorces for them. So here’s a bra by Japanese lingerie company Triumph that props up this ideal. It’s called ‘getting-ready-for-marriage’ bra and it’s a huge wedding dress themed contraption with a ticking counter as well as a slot to put an engagement ring in. Now the debasing part: If you haven’t decided to tie the knot by the time the counter reaches zero, then you get to feel an immense amount of shame and you’re stuck with the bra.
Watches with inbuilt Flash drive allows easy storage on the go

We have come a long way from the Pink Diamond Lady watch that stored only 512MB and charged a bomb. The new development comes in the form of these actual working watches with built-in USB capacities of 2GB on your wrist. These are designed by Amy Mae-Elliot and are available in three designs for men and women. In spite of being endowed with dual functions, it retails for prices ranging from $26 to $33 only!
Anime character Sheryl Nome USB Memory Drive from Buffalo is cute

Animes are so popular that it is inevitable that useless little items are made based on them. We've seen that time and again. Now, it is the chance of the hit anime Macross Frontier to shine. It's very famous 'Pop Star' Sheryl Nome has been replicated into a USB memory thumb key by Buffalo. She looks cute enough with those big blue eyes and pretty blonde hair, only this time she will be attached to your USB port. She has a decent memory of 4GB, so I'd say that for once this isn't a worthless piece of anime plastic. Not sure about the price for this one, but I'm pretty sure it will be easy on your wallet.
Soak up in shimmery and sexy must-have Shoe Bathtubs

I cannot resist a good pair of shoes, if there is a serious addiction I have, it is this. I considered joining Shoes Anonymous, but when there are beauties like this available, I think I'll stick with my addiction. No, it isn't a pair of shoes you can slip your feet into, these are shoes that you can slip your entire body into. These Audrey Shoe Bathtubs by Italian SICIS literally took my breath away. They are simple stunning with the high heels and shimmer glass mosaic covering for the entire tub.
The Filco BTLS90 Mouse mimics a Wiimote

The Filco 2-in-1 mouse known as the BTLS90 is a rather unique piece. While most mice are limited to the confines of a desk, this one doesn't need it! Since it is equipped with a gyro sensor, it functions without any glitches on a table and you can wave it in the air just like a regular Wiimote. Sounds cool, doesn't it? The features it is notable for are a sensitivity of 800dpi alongside a USB-rechargeable 550mAh internal battery. As for the looks, it looks nice and sleek in blue and black. If you are looking to replace your mouse, you might want to consider this baby.

Since the times are hard financially, most will be quite grateful to Gateway for releasing a a budget laptop that doesn't compromise on looks. This widescreen 15.4 inch laptop will really appeal to girls as it is available in pretty pink. The specs are at par with most laptops available these days. The features of the M-235u include an Intel 2.0 Ghz T4200 Mobile processor, 4GB of DDR2, HD Audio, built in Wi-Fi, and ultrabright WXGA display. If you like to have a big hard drive, this won't disappoint as it comes with a 320GB SATA. So all in all, this baby is a sweet deal that is available in pink on the inside and outside. The real kicker here is the reasonable price of $550. I'm all for this laptop.
Make Laser Tag a blast with the Spy Lazer Chase gloves

Laser Tag is great, be it for kids, teenagers or adults. The popular sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother' brought back the fame of this super fun game. I mean, come on, what could be better than a wild time of tagging anyone who crosses your path? It is quite therapeutic too or so they say. For those of you who are ignorant about the 'sport', it involves tagging someone electronically. All you need to do is buy these hand lasers called Spy Lazer Chase, slip one on to your wrist and shoot a beam your opponent's way. This tagging glove covers a range of 45 metres range, and a sound bar that gives you 'authentic' shooting noises.
Sony introduces the pretty pink Walkman NWZ-S636FK to Korea

Sony seems to be hitting the market hard with hot pink devices. The newest one to be revealed to Korea is the 'Walkman NWZ-S636FK' which is an MP3 player equipped with a docking speaker. It's obvious that it is targeted towards the fairer sex with all the pink. It is a 40GB mp3 players that is capable of up to 40 hours of music playback and 10 hours of video playback. The pretty oval docking speakers offers up to 16 hours of music playback. This seems sufficient enough. I think the USP of this player is its looks and not features anyway. Teenyboppers are going to flock around it! The price tag will be around $256.
