Thongs for your feet

feet_thongs.jpg
I thought I had seen it all, then I saw underwear for the feet. It sounds and looks quite silly to me. In fact, they are styled such that I'd have to call them thongs for the feet. I really don't see the point of these. I'd rather spend my money on real shoes, not these weird things. Unless you have a serious foot fetish, there's no real use for these foot thongs. But to each his own, maybe you like it more than I do.

Chocolate iPhone Case looks delicious

chocolate_iPhone_case.jpg
I love chocolate, but I'm trying to watch my weight, so that's a luxury I can't afford. So I'm currently satisfying my cocoa cravings by surrounding myself with inedible chocolate items. This iPod Touch and iPhone case shaped like a delicious milk chocolate bar serves that purpose perfectly. It definitely adds a yummy touch to your phone or MP3 player and sets it apart from the crowd. It also has openings on the sides so you can insert the headphones and charger, or connect it to a speaker or docking station. It's made from silicone, so it'll definitely protect your device from shocks and scratches. You can get it for $16 here. If you have an iPod shuffle, try this chocolate case.

Led Nightlight for the Toilet to put an end to toilet seat squabbles

Led_Nightlight_Toilet_Seat.jpg
I don't know who would want to light up their toilet and that too in Christmas colors, but apparently such people exist. It's an LED nightlight that brightens your toilet in either red or green light depending on whether the seat is left up or down. I suppose it's a good reminder for putting down the toilet seat, but it does seem like an over the top gesture. It's an intelligent gadget that detects you approaching the toilet, thanks to its built-in PIR sensor. So when you are close, the lights turn on and turn off when you walk away. Remember it only works at night. If the idea is sold to you, you can buy this toilet seat light for $28 at Curiosite.

Disappearing Bikini: Saucy or Offensive?

dissolvable_bikini.jpg
This teeny weeny not so polka dotted bikini looks really hot and perfect to show off your curves at first glance, right? However it is designed to show off a lot more than you would desire. This thong suit is something of a prank that dissolves after a few seconds in the water. It's selling in Germany at the moment and this Get Naked costume is sheer joy for men. Personally, I think it's quite outrageous to think that they would make a product like this that is quite insulting to a woman. On the flip side, if you are a private pool or hot tub, you can pleasantly surprise your special someone with this saucy bikini. It's there one minute, gone the next. Who says you can't do magic? What's your take on the issue?

The future is looking good with LG's folding phones with a twist

lg-folding-phone-.jpg LG is certainly coming up with some innovative and absolutely breathtaking ideas recently. If you don't believe, check out the HiFi concept handset that was one of the newly announced winners of LG’s Design The Future competition. It looks like an amazing touchscreen phone, but with a feature that sets it apart from everything else. This baby can be twisted around so that it wraps around your head making it possible to handle calls and listen to music on the go. Another phone that grabs your attention is the Morph which is a flexible phone that can be bent and and worn around the wrist. This clever design was shortlisted as well. The winning design was that of a modular phone which slots into laptops and netbooks. Of course, these are anywhere close to going into production yet. They are merely concepts.

Wearable health monitoring systems to help you get fit

smartclothes.jpg In a bid to monitor people’s health comfortably and without having those ugly white patches stuck on the body, the HealthWear concept has evolved. This project is funded by the Directorate General Information Society of the European Commission and aims to provide accurate and reliable health monitoring, especially of those in rehabilitation phase. The patients can just wear the suit and the respective data is transmitted to a tiny mobile sized device. This suit is made up of special health care clothing and includes sensors to monitor the heart rate measurement, blood flow, perspiration, stress and temperature. It is much more comfortable than those sensor patches attached to the skin. The patients can also go about their daily activities with this suit on and improve their life style effectively. Nurses won’t have to the patients and wake them up form their sleep to take readings if this concept actually takes shape.

The Kodak Zi8 Video Camera slips into your pocket

kodak-zi8.jpg
I've never really gotten into the camcorder craze, maybe because I feel like I have nothing exciting enough to record. I feel like it's something for crazy college parties or for parents of new borns who love to record their every move. However, the Kodak Zi8 has me tempted a bit. Also, it's a good alternative to the Flip series. It features Flip-beating 1080p video, with built-in electronic image stabilization, a 2.5-inch LCD, 5 megapixel, 16:9 still pics, an external microphone jack, an SDHC card slot, and a swing-out USB arm for easy uploading to YouTube or Facebook. It comes in three nice colors that are blue, black and red. The body of the camcorder certainly looks sleek and stylish. It retails for $180 at Amazon. It can easily fit into your pocket which makes it very convenient.

The Fresh Shrinking Jug keeps milk from turning sour

fresh-milk-shrinking-Jug.jpg
We know milk is notorious for going bad without any warning. People who can't get through their cartons in one day are quite aware of this problem. The Fresh sinking milk jug seems a good solution to this. It is a spring-loaded jug with flexible sides. What you need to do is pop it out to its full height to fill it and then close it with the airtight lid. After this, press the release valve and push down on the lid until the milk starts pouring out the nozzle. Then just release the valve button and the milk is safely sealed in the jug again. This avoids contact with oxygen. Keeping it chilled and the lack of oxygen slows down the process of the Lactobacillus bacteria of making the milk turn sour. So far it isn't in production, but the idea id great and it ought to be.
