Facebook soon to add real world gifts with credits as exchange rate

Facebook, the social networking behemoth had created quite a stir in the internet community when it had previously introduced the Blue GPS shoes a couple of months ago. Now it has decided to go one step further some hardcore commercial activity. Facebook is about to introduce the Facebook Gifts application that would allow users to sent actual gifts via the virtue of third party developers. That would enable users to purchase real life gifts with Facebook credits wherein, the exchange rate is predetermined as $1 for every 10 credits. Among the first to collaborate with Facebook will be American Greetings Interactive, GreetBeatz, Someecards, and Real Gifts who will have their respective logos on the gifts.
Corneal transplant turns man into a neat-freak

Will Palmer, a patient suffering from a corneal disease called Fuchs’ Dystrophy (The disease which causes the cells lining the inner surface of the cornea to die and consequently, a cloudy and unclear sight) underwent a corneal transplant whose donor remains anonymous. Will, a father of three never agreed to do his bit in household chores even when his partner, Sarah Gadsby, 45, insisted. However, after the corneal transplant, the 46 year old financial advisor started becoming obsessive about cleaning and was often seen carrying a duster at his home in Doncaster. The family often joked about the cornea being donated by a woman, but soon after he started believing in the assumption.
Moustaches are wanted by women too

I knew that back in the day, women found a well groomed moustache on a man highly attractive and a sign of toughness. But since when have women wanted one on themselves? If you do want a moustache, you don't have to grow one, you can simply wear moustache jewelery by Melany Favreau. Now girls can wear moustaches on their finger or around their neck, the choice is theirs. No need to look to a man for it now!
Jintailin's 999s is a flowery eye sore mobile phone

While I don't mind some gadgets being targeted to the fairer sex, this one is just plain hideous! Not everything cute and flowery will appeal to the girls. Jintailan's 999 is apparently an iPhone mini with a dedicated flower pattern and gravity sensor. It features a 2.6" display with 240x320 pixels, MP3 ringtones, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a gig of storage and "7 common games." You can get your hands on it for $120. I personally think, they have overdone the flowers and feminine angle. Maybe next time they will go a little easy on it.
The Progress Bar clock is an innovative take on time

Instead of time ticking away on boring old clock, wouldn't you rather have it as a progress bar? Especially in this world of technology, a Progress Bar Clock seems apt. Geek or not, you got to love that it sends a transparent blue brick down the ruler-marked bar as the day progresses. Don't expect to get precise time with this, but that simply makes it better since you don't have to count down the minutes and seconds till the day is over. It's perfect to have at your work place. Along the desk-top or wall-mountable bar, you can set alarms with white tabs that connect to the top. When the bar reaches the tab, it sets off an alarm. It's a great and novel concept that is bound to be a hit.

Retrostar Handset: Coolest retro mobile phone accessory

I thought mobile phones eliminate the need of a more traditional handset receiver, apparently not though. Not that I am complaining, because I quite like the retro orange look. Who needs a bluetooth headset, when you can have Retrostar! It's good to know that sometimes technology regresses as to be cool and hip. You can buy it for $42 here.
Juliette Has A Gun launches deadly fragrances in bullets

Edgy, niche fragrance house Juliette Has A Gun has come up with a new fragrance for the dangerous ladies. This brilliant weapon of seduction is in the form of a bullet-shaped refillable purse fragrance. So while it contains some sweet scent, it certainly sends out the message that don't mess with me, darlings! It has one bullet-shaped roll-on and four 4ml refills. Just rub it on to your pulse points to be dangerously enticing. Lady Vengeance, Miss Charming and Citizen Queen are the fragrances available. I feel like it fits right into Bond movies with the deadly diva spies.
Fat seats installed on trains: Good move or not?

We know that the world is slowly turning grotesquely fat, what with all the Mcdonalds and other fast food chains and their up-sizing around. It's quite a painful experience to watch fat people squeeze into seats with half of their body spilling out! Thankfully, they don't have to endure the tiny cramped seats anymore as special chairs have been installed on trains to cope with rising obesity rates. I'm not sure I like this, because it only gives them lesser motivation to shed all those excess pounds. So instead of catering to them, we need to tell them to get up and exercise a bit. That's the only way the obesity problem will come to a halt. What do you think?

Swing set with plants for the romantics

Every girl at some point has dreamt about sitting idly on a swing with creepers and vines entwined around it. Well, not many dreams come true, but this one can. The vines then beautifully grow around the ropes and it turns into a haven for those times you want to either relax or contemplate on a swing. It can be quite romantic too if you have some nice company. You can fix the swing in your living room or courtyard or any other place you'd prefer. This Swing set is available for $422 at droog.com.
Mint BMP#2: A taximeter that is reminiscent of childhood nostalgia

One could never be weary of the proverb “Old is gold” because it manifests itself time and again through small little instances that reminds us of our innocent days spent in peace. In this case I am referring to the dear ol’ Taximeter that read “For Hire” as soon as we were seated. These might have been replaced by the Digital meters nowadays, but the sweet memory of the dilapidated taximeter still lives on. Apparently, the inventor of the BMP#2 Taximeter shares the same thought as ours, for having created an imitation of the Taximeter (Bedside Multimedia Player) with bedroom functions like time/alarm/radio.
Cell phone strap makes a flushing noise to cover-up for your plops in the toilet

Taking a dump in a public toilet is one of the most uncomfortable tasks, firstly because you’re not sure about the hygiene conditions in there and secondly and most importantly, you have to worry about the little noises you make while you pass wind or plop the stuff. A water flushing noise could always masquerade these small discrepancies. The best one we found so far was the black, Rose-shaped cell phone strap that makes a flushing noise when you press down in it. But make sure you use this weapon at the right places, as it could be a big turn off if it comes out at work or in a public place.
Nail Art trends for those who fancy kinky nail adornment

Most of the office-going women prefer monotone nail enamels that look like a sophisticated match for their apparel. However, the same women might think of getting really kinky and crazy when they get a week long vacation. How? Well, the best way to do so is by getting out of that boring monochrome nail paint and endorsing the nail art from StyleList that is inspired by everything from cool pop arts to feathers, lace and chain. The nail art could be a great way to express one’s creativity and also to flaunt that oomph.
Lily Allen style Babushka bag is really cute

I always thought that Brit artist Lily Allen looked like a doll. The fact that her choices in clutches is a doll, was a bit too much of a coincidence. She loved the black Matryoshka clutch from Chanel so much that she has been spotted with the clutch several times. Well, the fact that it costs 3k could be enough of an excuse for the same. However, if that is a bit too much for the ‘lay girl’, then the economy version from ASOS for $25 should be a good bargain. If you didn’t fancy this one, you could check the imitation purse by Topshop. Baboushka clutch anyone?
