LED Balloons will brighten any party

LED_Balloons.jpg
Balloons are really cool. It was my best friend's birthday yesterday and I wish I knew about these LED balloons so I could have carried some to the party. I know people might argue that this is for parents who want to turn their kids into brats, but who can resist balloons that light up? The illoom balloons are sold in packs of five and are illuminating balloons that come complete with a matching LED inside. They look really great. A pack of five will cost you $6 at CuteBitz. So make your party brighter with them!

Hello Kitty Head Mount looks cruelly cute

hellokitty-head-mount.jpg
And once again, ladies and gentlemen, we bring to you Hello Kitty. This time around it's the Hello Kitty Head Mount. It almost looks like some Hello Kitty hater had her beheaded and mounted up. I'm not sure I like the idea, but some might find it very appealing. I don't think this will be adorning the walls in my house. What about you? Hunting kitties should be illegal!

Chair necklace is quirky and cute

chairs-necklace.jpg
I'm a big fan of unique and quirky accessories/jewelery. The conventional stuff just doesn't do it for me. And this Chair necklace is anything but run-of-the-bill. It looks really amazing made up of cute little chairs. You can team it up with any outfit to give it a trendy edge. The concept is really novel and it's almost certain to draw some positive attention your way. Be careful though, with Halloween coming up, you don't want to attract attention to your neck with all the vampires lurking about.

Control your portions with the Spaghetti Measure from Joseph Joseph

Spaghetti_Measure.jpg
I'm not the one to measure the spaghetti I eat, but since I'm on a spree to cut down some weight, I might as well start. This cool new Spaghetti Measure from Joseph Joseph will certainly assist me with that. It is a portion control tool that conveniently measures out spaghetti for 1-4 servings in half-portion increments. All you have to do is slide the lever on the side of the disc to adjust the number of servings and like the iris in a camera's shutter, the aperture in the center automatically opens or closes to the correct portion size. Quite simple. It's available at ThinkGeek if you are keen on controlling your portions.

Dripping Blood Tablecloth for Halloween

dripping-blood-tablecloth-1.jpg
Halloween is drawing closer, you so you'd better start stocking up on the props for any horror parties you might be throwing. The gruesome new Dripping Blood Tablecloth will set the mood nicely on this occasion. It looks like a lot of murders were committed on it with all the dripping blood. It has a gory blood-red top and more blood splattered and dripping down the sides that can quite possibly kill the appetite of your guests. I feel like Hannibal would certainly enjoy this. Be careful, it might just attract some vampires to your party. You can get it here.

'Be nice to a girl, buy her a ring' Snack Machine by Ted Noten

redring12.jpg
Flowers and chocolates are just not enough for us girls anymore. We demand rings, right away. So what if you can't afford a glittering solitaire? The boys can at least get us one of these tacky red rings from the snack machine installed by Ted Noten. They are quite cute actually, might work for asking a girl out on a date, but definitely not if you are proposing. It's called 'be nice to a girl and buy her a ring!', I definitely like the sound of that.

Miss Singapore World gives up her title after reports of stealing credit cards

Ris_Low.jpeg
It seems that Miss Singapore World is quite a shop-o-holic in a bad way. There are reports stating that she stole seven credit cards last year while working at a medical clinic, buying goods worth about S$8,000 including gold anklets and phones. Due to a lot of pressure she had to give up her crown and title. Organisers of the pageant ERM World Marketing maintain that he had resigned Tuesday of her own accord. Ris Low definitely won't be representing Singapore anymore. She's gotten some more bad publicity regarding her poor English. But that's not nearly as bad as stealing credit cards to buy lingerie.

Shark Peeler for your potatoes

Shark_Peeler.jpg
I hate peeling anything and one of the reasons might be because most of the peelers look so darn boring. But this Shark Peeler is very innovative and catches your eye. It is an easy o grip plastic shark with a capable metal peeler in its mouth. Of course, your veggies will be reminded of Jaws. This peeler is going to be every vegetable's nightmare. You can buy it for $6 at UrbanOutfitters.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual blushes in pink

rolex.jpg
When Rolex and pink come together, my heart skips a beat. It is a beautiful vintage classic watch complete with domed plexi glass, crown and bottom screwed box mounted on an armored oyster bracelet. It is fit for any diva. The pink dial is seriously pretty. You also have the option of getting the Rolex Oyster Perpetual in a customized version with Roman numerals with its quadrant painted in “bubble gum” pink. I would love to sport this one on my wrist.

Messenger bags for video game lovers

messenger-bags_1.jpg
Anything that is branded with old school gaming stuff is a big hit in my books. These gaming messenger bags are ultra cool. I love the Pac-Man Retro Messenger bag, featuring, Pac-Man himself as well as Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde. It's so colorful and playful. The Space Invaders Flight bag looks great too and I can almost see myself carrying it to work. If the previous ones don't appeal to you, check out the fun Space Dip Retro messenger bag, which is handmade from synthetic leather. They aren't too expensive starting from $88. You can find them over at Etsy.

Nokia phone turns Steampunk

nokia_steampunk.jpg
Usually, I think Nokia has the worst designs for their phones. I don't remember a single Nokia phone being stylish in the least bit. So I can understand John Mavrovic's decision to make one look better. However, with his excess use of a broken typewriter, parts of old clocks and rusted screws, I admit the effect is very much Steampunk, but it's kind of an eye sore. It says Globus on it and I'm sure it's going to be a hit with a niche crowd. I think I'll stick to the Sony Ericsson Hello Kitty Phone instead.
