HTC Touch HD2 coming to the US next year

Peter Chou, the CEO of HTC that the company’s just revealed HD2 would be available for the US as early as 2010 but what he did not mention or did not want to mention was which carrier will be carrying the HTC! I wonder why? This phone is a multi-touch Windows mobile smartphone and it will only need a switch in 3G support to work with AT&T or T-mobile in the US. This HTC Touch HD2 is likely to see US shores after few months of the European release. If such a switch does take place, then the carriers could be Verizon or Sprint.

Elecom LEGO brick headphones are super cute

Anything LEGO gets me excited because it brings on a rush of nostalgia and childhood memories. It makes me absolutely happy to see that Elecom released a new pair of LEGO Brick like headphones with the “Sundries PLAYBRICK” series. They are completely adorable and I want a pair now! They are so much better than the Duckling Earphones. You have a wide choice in colors which includes Black, Blue, Red, Pink, White and Blue/Red Combo. Needless to say that I'd go for the pink. If you like them as much as I do, you can get them at GeekStuff4U.
Wet Umbrellas No More by Seung Hee Son are very convenient

Umbrellas are convenient when you are out in the rain. They shield you and keep you from getting absolutely drenched, duh. However when you get indoors, they can turn your clean and dry place into something wet and slushy. Now, that's inconvenience right there. But with the Wet Umbrellas No More designed by Seung Hee Son, that will be a thing of the past. It easily converts into a stylish bag and all the wet stuff stays inside and doesn't drip onto your floor. I really like this cool concept.

It looks pretty good too. I'm not sure I'll be needing it, but there are surely some who do.
Yamaha's updated version of its HRP-4C robot can belt out tunes

CEATEC conference in Tokyo witnessed the showcasing of Yamaha's updated version of its HRP-4C robot. This robot not only has a new, more anime-friendly look, but also sings requests sent to it via the iPhone. So now this robot is set to light the fashion ramps on fire and sing like a pop star while doing it. Quite a package, don't you think? The singing does seem quite eerie however and I'm not sure I like it. I wonder what addition the next installment will hold?

Hello Kitty Fashion Facemask : Hot or evil?

So now we have the Hello Kitty Facemask. It's cute and all, but somehow I just cannot see a doctor using it. I mean if a doctor was sporting a Hello Kitty Facemask, do you think you'd want him/her to treat you? I highly doubt it! I can see a nurse using it though and that's pretty acceptable. Also, with all the epidemics breaking out, you might want to let kitty protect you from all the germs in the air. Looking at the pictures of the girl sporting it kind of scares me, she looks positively evil!
Jeans Mousepad means comfort for your wrists

I don't even know anyone who uses a mousepad anymore. But if such mythical creatures do still exist, you must give the Jeans Mousepad a shot. It has a very casual and comfortable look about it and I'm sure it will be a conversation started. Usually jeans give your rear end and legs comfort, but this time around your wrists will be benefiting. It's available at Gadge4All for $10.

Pac-Man Concept Lamp makes you nostalgic

Before you get too excited, let me warn you that this is only a concept. It's sad that it's merely a concept at this moment, as the Pac-Man Lamp ignites sweet emotions of nostalgia in arcade game lovers. The lamp looks really cute and geeky and it would be the shining glory in any gamer's room. If you like this lamp, you might have a thing for the Pac-Man chair as well. Here's hoping to this going into production soon.

Gong therapy to soothe your nerves

I never knew that noise could be relaxing. And I don't mean like a distant rumble of thunder, I mean a gong walloped next to your ear. You will find this taking place at the Alchemy centre in North London. It's a candlelit yoga class with the addition of the bizarre gong trick. You have to put on a lavender-scented eye mask and wait for someone to bang a gong close to you. I honestly find it anything but soothing. However, I shouldn't knock it till I try it. When the teacher begins to play, the gong sounds soft and tinkly, and it builds up to a climax only after about 15 minutes. This is quite a crazy therapy. Are you willing to give it a shot? I think I'll spend my money on a good old spa.
