Augmented Reality Cosmetic Mirror lets you try on make-up virtually
|

Looks like we girls don’t need to go through the tedious task of putting on make-up and taking phony salesgirls’ advice in shopping malls anymore. An interactive terminal at Takashimaya department store in Shinjuku has put up the Digital Cosmetic Mirror by industry giant Shiseido. The Digital Cosmetic Mirror can be used to test make-up and recommendation without even having to pick up a lipstick or eye-shadow! The technology used here is the augmented reality to do sampling of make-up. All that one has to do is sit down and let the camera scan their face. The terminal then gives them tailored recommendations and pressing a few buttons on the touch-screen paints make-up on to their face in real-time, so one can see the results immediately.
You can also try out make-up that is currently in vogue, along with printing out before and after photos with product information for you to purchase the desired products. Check out the video to get a better idea of the Digital Cosmetic Mirror.
