Designers Jessica Rosenkrantz and Jesse Louis-Rosenberg of Nervous System have come up with unconventional ways of making jewellery with unconventional material and the results known as algorithmically generated jewellery, have to be seen to be believed. By combining materials like silicone rubber and stainless steel and rapid prototyping methods, they create beautiful nature-inspired designs. This is evident in various designs like Dendrite that is heavily inspired by the aggregate growth of coral, Radiolaria which is more like lace-like structures while Algae and Lamina are on their way.

WaterJets, photochemical metal etching, silicone rubber, recycled rubber, and recycled stainless steel with gold plating are all used in the making of each jewellery piece. The dendrite series is available from $30 to $70. The Radiolaria collection ranged from $40 to $75. I think this is such a refreshing change. Wanna rethink if diamonds are your best friend?
