Chain Shoes look like they are designed for slaves

I've seen unique shoes in my time, but the Chain Shoes have got to top that list. They are designed by Swedish design students Tove Jansson and Per Emanuelsson. Floating and the restriction of being chained down is the concept behind the shoes. They look a little like something you'd make slaves or prisoners wear, but that's simply my opinion. These shoes won the first prize in the “Shoemania” design competition which took place last week in conjunction with the Nordic Shoe and Bag Fair and The Swedish Association of Agents in Stockholm. So obviously, this design is being widely appreciated in the world of fashion.
