Elizabeth Lecourt’s “Les Robes Geographiques” is astonishing !
|

Elizabeth Lecourt is turning heads with her fascinating “Les Robes Geographiques” a line of map-wear which is not to be worn but to be watched and admired. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art ( MA RCA, London) in 2001, Lecourt (French, born 1972, Oloron Saint Marie, France) is becoming a recognized contemporary artist. This talented artist has pressed and ironed 60 pieces of unreal attire, mostly pleated dresses and button-down shirts made out of modern maps.
For three years now, the French-born, London-based artist develops map-garments that travel around the world to be presented in various galleries. One thing is for sure…no one folds like Elizabeth Lecourt.
