Amsterdam-based artist Leanie van der Vyver has challenged the current beauty ideals, and raised the style standards.¬¬ In her project ‘Scary Beautiful’, she reinvented the high-heel shoe, and reversed its design to create a shoe with multiple dimension. According to her, humans are striving hard to physically and metaphorically perfecting themselves. Scary Beautiful challenges current beauty ideals by inflicting an unexpected new beauty standard.
