Sound Walk jacket with inbuilt speakers - Wear your music on the shoulders
|
A jacket that comes with inbuilt speakers to hear your favorite tunes, what's next? This concept is known as Sound Walk. What happens here is that your MP3 players plugs into a front pocket wired to speakers that are built into the shoulder pads to enable the person wearing it to have a kickass sound. There's a safety element included here. Earphones make it hard to hear external sounds of traffic or emergency sirens. So for people riding bikes, jogging or walking, this jacket would be perfect as they can hear the surrounding noises. However, won't it be quite annoying for people around them who might not want to groove to their tunes? To this, a spokesperson replied, "Our products are made for the people who are using our products out doors. Even though the speakers are loud enough for the user, people standing just beside even wont hear much because of where the speakers are placed, below the ear, on the shoulder. Of course, inside a room other people can listen but it this is not what it is for."
You will need two AAA batteries to make the jacket work. It has been developed in Korea and is soon to be launched in the UK and Europe for $55. I don't particularly like its look, it resembles a military jacket or something way too futuristic. I can't quite imagine wearing it outside, even though it appeals to the geek in me.
