TriStar promotes freezing jeans over washing them
|

I had heard that freezing your jeans keeps their blue from fading away too quick. But I always thought this color preservation technique was an old wife's tale. It does seem quite unlikely that by fossilizing your jeans into ice will help them retain the color. However, TriStar, a Brazilian level is campaigning just this method now. The Rio-based company’s most recent denim collection, made from organic cotton, comes with directions to trade your washing machine for your icebox. Jandira Barone, CEO of TriStar says, “After use, just put them inside a plastic or cloth bag and leave them in the freezer for 24 hours to kill the bacteria." Do keep in mind that this will have no effect on the stains. You will need to use the good old washing method for that. Or you can just hide the stains by using the other side of the jeans as they are reversible.
