Electrolux’s Calima washing machine: Goodbye dry cleaners

When it comes to drying and washing our silk and cashmere garments we would rather trust the dry cleaner. But the new Electrolux washing machine that goes by the name Calima promises to help clean and dry your luxurious items of clothing and help you save the amount you spend on dry cleaning. The idea behind this Electrolux washer was to help consumers who experience difficulties with drying their laundry, putting their wet clothes on the floor, hanging them on radiators, and using unsafe methods like a hair dryer or iron for a quick dry. The new Calima is equipped with a built-in drying board for safe and easy drying of all your precious garments.

The board measures 60 x 60 cm and can be extended by an additional 32 cm to accommodate larger items of clothing. The amazing Electrolux washer is rated ‘A+AB’, has a maximum spin speed of 1,400 RPM and offers several special washing programs. Featuring 4 speed levels and an LCD display to show the time remaining, this amazing machine is also boasts of a Time Manager that adjusts the washing time according to the degree of soiling of the clothes. Other features include adjustable front feet, large opening, anti spill feature, child safety and electronic load balancer.
This amazing washing machine is priced at €700 ($930) and measures H85 x W60 x D60 cm with a 7kg capacity. There is also a smaller version with a 6kg capacity available.
