Honeycomb Cooktop for hi-tech cooking

kuppersbusch_honeycomb.jpg
You cannot term your kitchen as the most avant-garde if you have not incorporated this Honeycomb Cooktop from Kuppersbusch. Its unique shape allows you to customize the installation to fit your cooking surface over a six, eight, or even a four-foot area. The layout is such that the cooking zones are shaped as interlocking hexagons with flush-fitting elements that are designed to be built into the countertop. The matching red six-sided control panel has nine power levels, residual heat indicators, child safety lock and an automatic safety cut-off. As I write about this hi-tech domestic device, the little circles inside a squared top in my kitchen are appearing so antique.

Each honeycomb-shaped unit measures 12-5/8" by 12-5/8". List pricing for the control interface is $1750, with the heating elements going for between $550 and $650 depending on the type.
