Red is the color of the passion, romance and sex! But Apple has cashed on another aspect of this sensuous color- Red catches people's attention, and is often used to indicate danger or emergency. Yeah Apple is willing to lend their creativity in the fight against AIDS in Africa, the greatest health crisis in 600 years! Apple Computer has teamed with rock star Bono to launch a new RED iPod Nano whose sales will help raise funds to fight AIDS. The iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED comes in a beautiful red aluminum enclosure and features 24 hours of battery life, Apple's innovative Click Wheel and an incredibly thin and light design. The digital media player has the same specifications as other 4GB Nanos with a 1.5-inch screen. The device can store about 1,000 songs.
The announcement of the iPod Nano Red is part of a cross-brand campaign called (Product) Red. For every iPod Nano Red Special Edition sold, Apple will donate $10 to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Apple will also offer a $25 iTunes(R) (PRODUCT) RED gift card available for purchase at Apple's retail and online stores next month. The 4 GB Apple iPod Nano Red is available worldwide for $ 199.
