Pink Robopet by Wow Wee
WOW! A pink pup…. flaunt it off to your friends and watch them go green. Robopet is described as a “futuristic replica of a real pup”. It is, more accurately, a skeletal representation of a small Chihuahua’s physical anatomy, especially in the legs, which have been engineered to interpret realistically the bones and tendons of a dog. Up till now this pet was dressed in white, black and grey combination. But G&F Enterprise, a Korean retailer of (Hong Kong based) Wow Wee Company has unleashed the robot toy ‘ROBOPET’ draped in Pink. It not only moves like a real pet, it also thinks like one too, displaying various moods including playful, naughty, curious, angry, rude and even depressed. This robotic pup comes with a remote control and is equipped with a range of sensors for sound, image, tilt, and even edge detection.
The audio sensors let him respond to loud sounds, the infrared image sensors help him navigate around obstacles, tilt lets him know if he’s been knocked down or has fallen over (or is upside down), and the edge detection keeps the 9- by 6-inch (length and height), pint-size pup from falling off tables. It can perform various motions like jumping, going forward/ backward, scratching ground, standing up/ down, barking and more as if he were a real dog. It can also be trained like a real dog according to an owner’s intention. So you can program him to growl at your foes and jump for your friends! The black and white version retails for about $99 but we still hunting for the price tag of the pink robopup.
