Polaroid Socialmatic branded camera will definitely make us smile or not?

When people started talking about Socialmatic, a physical camera concept for Instagram, there was a cynical bunch of people (including me) who were poohing the idea. Time to dump the cynicism and clap your hands for Polaroid’s Socialmatic camera that’s no more just a fancy concept. In no time you will witness Polaroid, spitting out a printed version of your filtered and light-leaked image. The original concept contained “16GB of SD storage, a 4:3 touchscreen, WiFi, and Bluetooth,” along with a built-in printer to make the photos physical. Not many people are happy with the printed copies and I’m guessing this will only lead to the making of another fancy printer coming our way.


Moving on, the photos (good quality or not) would carry a QR code so people will be able to scan your pictures and follow you on Instagram. The Polaroid Socialmatic™ branded camera will be made available to consumers in the first quarter of 2014.
