Seagate Pink Pocket Hard Drive aids Cancer Institution
|

Are there any small, very chic, feminine, or uber-cool looking "external hard drives" that have a good memory on the market? External hard drives are certainly not admired for their good looks…and finding one that’s super girly or even nice looking isn’t trouble-free. Seagate is launching a girly-hard drive with the Pink Pocket Hard Drive. Following the deeds of the Pioneer Inno dolling up in the color pink for a noble cause, Seagate also treads the same route. It’s coming out with an easy backup solution tied to a great cause. This October, Seagate will begin selling the pink “Backing Up The Cure” portable 6GB pocket drive for $99, with 10% of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The pink one is 6GB, has a USB 2.0 interface, and transfers data at up to 480 Mbps.
The Seagate pocket drive is housed in a round shock-absorbing shell , and it’s powered off its own retractable USB plug when you jack it into any PC or Mac, so you don’t need an external supply. It also comes preloaded with songs by sympathetic artists including Joan Jett, Stefy, and Alana Davis. As for the guys, it’s actually quite pleasant and healthy. Color is good for them and pink is right up there. As pink shirts make any guy look smarter and more secure, pink backup drives also do the same.
