Sony announced two new DVD/CD rewritable drives in hot colors

Sony has unveiled its newest optical drives. The first one is DRX-S77U which happens to be a portable, slim, external DVD/CD recordable type. It is capable of supporting up to 8X DVD±R recording speeds delivering a 4.7 GB of content on a 8X DVD+R disc as well as recording at 6X speeds on 8.5 GB DVD+R Double/Dual layer and 4.7 GB DVD-RW discs, 8X speeds on DVD+RW, 5X on DVD-RAM and 24X on CD-R/RW. It comes in black, white, pink and gold. YOu should watch out for the pink. The second drive AD-7260S is an internal DVD/CD recordable type and it supports up to 24X max DVD±R recording, 12X DVD+R Double/Dual layer recording, 12X DVD-RAM, and 48X CD-R performance. here you can create personalized labels using LightScribeTM DVD/CD media thanks to LightScribeTM direct labeling technology it utilizes. You will find it in black and beige bezel. No one knows about the pricing yet, but watch this space for more updates.
