Sony announces VAIO CR / SR bundles as a support to breast cancer research
|

For those of you who didn't know October is labeled the Breast Cancer Awareness month. Sony seems to be especially aware of this and has shown its involvement by announcing two new pretty pink laptop bundles to support breast cancer research. One of them is called Cosmopolitan Pink VAIO CR pack and it includes a 14.1-inch LCD, 1.3-megapixel camera, Core 2 Duo CPU, Bluetooth, a built-in DVD burner and a matching case / mouse. If you'd like something a little smaller try the Glossy Pink VAIO SR, it also has more impressive specs. It features a 13.3-inch LED backlit display, up to 320GB of HDD space and a "Switch" mode that gives users the ability to toggle between high performance and power saving modes.
As usual the case with Sony products is that they tend to be slightly overpriced. The two pink bundles cost $870 and $1,399, respectively. But hey, if it is to support breast cancer research, why not? And let me tell you, the pinks are gorgeous, so that's another reason.
