Sony Vaio N series of fashion laptops
|

Humor me. What If I were to tell you that I could show you a laptop that could look as chic as your Furniture? Would you laugh at me or rush out the nearest Sony dealer to check it out. Turn your laptop into a color-coordinated piece that finds pride in both your living room as well as your office. "Wenge brown -- a creamy, coffee-color made to resemble wood furniture," and "these new notebooks are designed to accent your interior design, as well as your life," are some of the claims made by Sony. Starting at $1,000, the N Series models feature 15.4-inch displays, Core Duo processors (in the top-end at least) and a dual-layer DVD burner, along with the usual Sony frills like a Memory Stick reader, i.LINK port and Express Card slot. There's also 802.11a/b/g WiFi, and while we're not so sure about graphics options, Sony does claim that select models are Vista Premium ready.
According to Mike Abary, vice president of VAIO product marketing for Sony Electronics, the N Series was conceived with the "culturally creative" individual in mind, who is focused on an "organic lifestyle." I think he was talking about me, What about you?
