Takara Tomy Baby monitor

Takara Tomy the leading Japanese toy maker has announced the 'baby monitor' which is more like a walky-talky but features video as well. The set consists of a transmitter which has a camera and transmits the baby's images and a receiver which has a LCD to watch your loved one and a mic for voice interaction. The transmitter can be placed bedside next to the baby so you know when he is awake and can put him to sleep by singing a lullaby sitting in your room. The unit is preloaded with lullaby's which can be remotely activated. The onboard temperature sensor sounds an alarm if the temperature rises above the pre-set level. The Takara Tomy baby monitor will go on sale in Japan from September for 20,790 Yen ($ 210).
