I’m not addicted to scales……in fact I avoid it cause whenever I step on it, the displayed figures makes me panic. Instead of the scales that conveniently measure you in an out but in sanding position, this one expects you to be on you back on the bed or wherever. Ideally suited for patients who are bed ridden due to illness, the Tanita "AB-101" is an arched shaped gadget with an accompanying meter that estimates the fat on your abdomen in a way similar to scanning or X-ray process. The whole process takes about 30 seconds only.
It is powered by AC power adapter and also comes with a rechargeable battery. Moreover you can transfer the data your PC too. Believed to be the first measuring instrument exclusively for abdomen, it is set to hit the Japanese shores in Feb’08 for 294,000 yen ($ 2,650).
