The suspense on the new Macbooks will be revealed on October 14

There are many who believe that a Mac is perfect. Is it even possible to improve on perfection? Apparently it is, because at 10 a.m. PDT October 14, Steve Jobs is going to officially announce the new MacBook and MacBook Pros. These babies have gone through an intensive makeover both aesthetically and technically. The invites for this special media event on Apple's Campus are being sent out and each has an unidentified notebook that says, "The spotlight turns to notebooks." Great way to build some suspense huh? I expect drum rolls when Steve Jobs makes the announcement.
The much-awaited Macbook is rumored to be 13 inches wide, eco friendly, featuring a single Firewire 800 port and priced at around $1000. Any more guesses on the specs?
