Video Games or Men...Women know it all!

I think all those who are of the opinion that women are all about shopping, pink, hello kitty and make-up need to wake-up and fast. There isn't any domain that is left with just men and most of them have, after accepting defeat, handed the reins to the fairer sex. Despite that I fail to understand why women are secluded when it comes to gaming and being a part of the virtual world. I think the stereotypes should go to sleep and only wake up to reality. According to the International Game Developers Association, women represent 40 percent of all gamers. And although the Entertainment Software Association pegs that number at about 38 percent, it found that the average female gamer plays games 7.4 hours per week. As far as gaming is concerned, it is a known fact that women are not only ace players but also game developers and very conspicuous member of the gaming community, even though male chauvinist pigs would like to believe otherwise.

Torrie Dorrell, senior vice president of global sales and marketing for Sony Online Entertainment, explained to CNN: "Women are out there in significant numbers playing MMOs, action games, first-person shooters. What is lacking in the equation are women behind these games." I think the men should really wake up and look around since the bubble has burst and the truth is out for all to see and believe. Still not convinced? How about a game then fellas??
