Is it a fruit bowl or a foil balloon?
|

Inflatables are in. Maybe they have always been, but I've only started noticing that now. The inflatable metallic plastic foil fruit bowl called Hollowware designed by Kim Buck of Denmark is a good example of inflatable items. It seems pretty unusual to me, because I have never ever seen fruits being kept in what resembles a foil balloon. The designer is actually a goldsmith and that is where he derives his inspiration. The tableware he makes kind of looks fake and metallic, but it will definitely be a conversation starter. His design was showcased at the 100% Design London Exhibition by the Danish Crafts Organization and presented as "MindCraft".
Even if you get bored of the inflatable fruit bowl, the kids in the house can find a use for it, I'm sure.
