Wiimote to take on kitchen chores?

It was pretty obvious right from the start that the Wiimote would be a versatile device that can be put to many uses, but I never once thought that it might find a place in the kitchen as well. The idea is to modify the Wiimote, so that it can be your friend in the kitchen. As of now, they have worked on getting it to do some quick whisking for you. However, I wonder if the Wiimote will survive all the mess created while cooking. They'd better have some waterproofing lined up for it.
