Yoyo Lamps might not be good for tricks, but they are ultra mobile

First off, its hard not to talk about the design of these lamps and that is its most striking feature. Who can not love something that looks like oversized Yoyos? Makes me want to grab one and try my skills. Besides giving the lamps a super funky look, the design is such for convenience as well. Catarina von Matérn + Lisa Lindström brainstormed together and came up with this novel idea for Elmar Flötotto. It makes these cute lamps mobile and they can be stretched around to where ever the light is required. The cord is 16 meters long and it is rolled around the centre of this 18 inch lamp. It is made out transluscent Polyethylene which gives out a soft light (perfect for my taste). As far as durability goes, it does fine if you don't use it as your favourite play thing.
These Yoyo lamps are available now for £185.83 from Questo Design. I dunno if I'm going to buy the lamp, but it definitely brought out an urge in me to go buy a nice little yoyo.
