Provoke’s 2012 concept to be unveiled in New York

Nokia’s main design contractors, Finnish based Provoke design in collaboration have concieved three concepts which they will be revealing in New York at the HARDCORE New Finish Design exhibition starting May 17th. It’s 2012 vision of mobile handset design according to Provoke is ‘Express’, ‘Share’ and ‘Feel’ concepts (left to right) Supposedly, the look of the Express concept can be changed electronically and customized to one’s personal tastes. The specialized UI and touch simulation feature enables ‘deep communication’ in the Feel handset pair and hence, it is meant for couples. The Share handset, last but not the least is one that allows cults and revolutionaries to communicate in personalized code formed in subgroups of like-minded weirdo’s. LG-BH620T Phone arrives first in Europe

The market of mobile phones is much more advanced in Europe, unlike it’s other gadget counterpart, which have a heady base in the US. This time again, Europe gets lucky with the shiny new LG-BH620T., it’s most exclusive feature being DVB-T or Digital Video Broadcasting. The suave model will first make an entry into Germany with T-mobile, Vodafone and O2, and other European countries later on. The other features offered by the phone are stereotypical with HSDPA, Bluetooth, 2 Mega pixel camera, video player etc.

Samsung presents the miCoach-sports featured phone

This one is a niche. It is dedicated to sports lover. Samsung Electronics presented the world's first true sports music mobile phone 'miCoach' during CTIA Wireless 2008. The personal coach advises the user and provides instant updates during the workout, including time, heart rate, distance, speed and calories burned. The miCoach combines cutting-edge technology and an advanced interactive sport training system with multimedia features for the active mobile user. The Samsung SGH-F110 is also a sports-featured mobile with personal trainer applications such as a pedometer, heart beat monitor, calories-counter and so on. There's also reported to be a voice coach feature to spur users on during their work out. It also has other generic features of 2-megapixel camera, multi-format mp3 player, FM radio and MicroSD memory card support. The F110 is a quad-band EDGE enabled phone, with USB 2.0 and stereo Bluetooth connectivity.

LG set to release the third quotient in the Black Label Series handset

LG recently announced the global launch of the third Black Label Series Handset that boasts of it’s smart and innovative technology with the latest and sophisticated features including the slimmest 5MP camera. The latest model bears a product concept of ‘Style that lasts’ which reflects the timeless and elegant design of the phone augmented by materials like tempered glass and carbon fiber. I must say the new one looks pretty hot in it’s shiny black slider avatar.

After having seen a lot of these cell phones set in gold and with diamonds studded all over it, you’d think people would choose to come up with nicer designs. With looks that can make a person want to gawk in disgust, the gold bodied crystal embedded cell phone looks like something that would come as a freebie at a department store. You know, the poor man’s expensive phone? Money without class? Get the drift? Quite innovative but I doubt from a global market perspective with a pile of Nokia and other models with much better features existing. It could atleast prove a helping hand for the freshers in the mobile usage industry.
LG gets inspired by Ice Cream
