Piggy Bank plays the role of a boyfriend

Piggy_Bank.jpg
Everyone is trying to save those little bucks, but spending is so much better than saving. However, if you hand me a cute little piggy bank like Ikemen, then I'd feel obligated to use something so adorable. It's a heart-shaped electronic piggy bank with an LCD screen and every time you put your change in it, the dream boyfriend inside the piggy bank will start flattering you with sweet romantic phrases, compliments (You’re so beautiful", you’re the best) or even ask for kiss. So, if that doesn't get you to save a pretty penny, I don't know what will. It seems like a warped version of the Magic Mirror. Anyway, you need to feed your heart shaped boyfriend with a coin when he is hungry. Not a gold digger at all, is he? Once you have $500 saved up, you are given a happy ending. I like this world where a happy ending can be bought! The piggy bank is available for approximately $75.

Pantech's New Crystal IM-S500K reads moods

Pantech_Crystal_IM_S500K_1.jpg
Here is a phone made especially for the ladies. It's the Crystall IM-S500K and will undoubtedly appeal to any and every girl, especially if she loves some pink. Even if you aren't into pink, you have an option of black or silver with a hot and unique crystal lid. It comes with a 2.4” QVGA LCD, a 2Mpix camera module, MP3 player, dictionary, subway map, etc. However the best feature is its biorhythm calculator that displays the user's current mood on the phone's cover. How cool is that. It's hard to read a woman's mind, so most guys can refer to her phone to check what mood she is in. The phone looks quite pretty.

Keyboard Sleeve turns your iPhone into a Blackberry

iTwinge_physical_keyboard.jpg
If you are buying an iPhone, I would guess that it's because you want an iPhone and not a Blackberry. That's a pretty safe assumption in my book. So this Keyboard Sleeve that transforms your iPhone into a Blackberry makes no sense to me. Oh well, I'm assuming it's for those who are a little too greedy and want both! I'd say go for the real Blackberry, it's cooler than the iPhone. Believe me!

Vodafone to launch 533 Catwalk Collection and 541 2G Touch

Vodavone-533-Crystal.jpg
Vodafone, one of the world’s biggest telecom giants, has had kept a low profile, rolling out fewer models in a year, until now. However, when it’s back, it’s bigger than a bang as it is all set to launch 8 new models that will soon be available under its own brand, about the same time as that of LG GM750 Windows Mobile 6.5 Smartphone. The first in the League is the Vodaphone 533 Catwalk Collection designed by Berlin based artist Tomek Sadurski. It includes three different editions of the same phones, i.e. Vodaphone 533 Catwalk Red, Vodaphone Catwalk Lady 533 and Vodaphone Catwalk Crystal. All three models share the same specs; 176*220 pixels display, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, Vodaphone Mail, 1.3 MP camera, and tri-band GSM/EGE connectivity. The Vodaphone 533 Crystal aligns with the likes of bling-lovers as the model’s display is flanked by 126 precision-cut crystals made in Austria. Other ‘crystallizations’ include a CRYSTALLIZED logo and CRYSTALLIZED Swarovski Elements animations.

Rorschach-iPhone-Case for Watchmen fans

Rorschach-iPhone-Case.jpg
I just realised I've been getting too cutesy lately with the Hello Kitty Bird Feeder and Flowery Beetle and other such adorable items. So it's time to unleash my tougher side that likes comic books and Star Wars and super hero flicks. Well fine, maybe I'm not that badass, but there's no denying that Watchmen is a kickass graphic novel and movie. Wouldn't you want your run of the mill iPhone to take on the avatar of one the super heroes from this series? If I owned an iPhone, I would definitely dress it up in this Rorschach inspired iPhone case. The Rorschach inkblot look is not sewed on or glued but actually felted which is greatly appreciated. I doubt anything can protect your iPhone better than Rorschach himself! If you aren't a big fan of the Watchmen, maybe you fancy yourself as a psycho-analyst and want to read minds with this ink blot test case. Whatever works for you. It's being sold at Etsy for $35, so hurry. It's a great gift for the men in your life who are fans of the Watchmen comics/movie.

Sony Ericsson W395 Hello Kitty limited edition looks adorable

Sonyericsson_W395_Hello_Kitty.jpg
Hello Kitty has my vote any time of the day. Brand anything with this pretty feline and I'm going to go all ga ga over the product. The Sony Ericsson W395 is one such device that has fallen under my favorite kitty's spell. It's out in Hong Kong (lucky them), and there aren't any changes to the specifications as far as I know. The only difference between the original version and this is that you will find lots of pink and bows and Hello Kitty's face here. I'm seriously considering getting this phone as soon as it's available here. The price is around $200 at the moment, let's hope it slides down a little. Until then I'll keep myself motivated to stay fit with the Hello Kitty Exercise Belt.

Stay connected to Facebook via Samsung's pretty pink B3310 slider phone

samsung-b3310.jpg
I don't want to be an advocate of everything pink, but sometimes the girly girl in me just cannot resist the temptation of this ultra feminine color. The Samsung B3310 is obviously designed for the ladies with its focus on social networking and pretty pink. Some good news is that it's apparently the cheapest QWERTY phone for Facebook ever. So you can start typing away all the gossip you want via this phone on Facebook or Twitter or other sites you use. It features a full keyboard, a 2-inch screen as well as direct hot keys to Facebook and MySpace. Don't feel too let down on the music front as it does include an FM Radio. So with this baby, a girl is all set unless you think social networking sites are overrated (and believe me, I will understand if you are one of those people). The Samsung B3310 will be up grabs at the Carphone Warehouse next month on pay as you go for $80. By the way, did I mention that it's a slider phone? Pulls at all the right strings, doesn't it?

Shoe cell phone holder is hideous and unnecessary

shoe_phone_holder.jpg
If you were given a choice to place your cell phone on a decent cell phone stand or a shoe, what would you choose? I reckon, it would be the former for most sane headed people. But there is a company called “Perfect Solutions” that has come up with a Shoe Cell Phone stand, not to mention an absolutely gruesome one, which I have seen on the feet of ‘morally disoriented’ women at the sidewalk. It comes with built-in channel for recharging, is that much of a selling point? Shoe cell phone holder is avilable For $19 at Amazon.

Nokia introduces a new entry-level touchscreen phone, the 5230

Nokia_5230.jpg
Nokia has introduced an entry-level touchscreen model, the Nokia 5230. It's more or less the same deal as the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, but without the Wi-Fi and a camera that is only 2 megapixel. This new model has a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels, FM radio, 3.5 mm audio jack and microSD card slot. It also includes the latest Symbian S60 5th edition. It seems this phone will be capable of playing 33 hours of music. Some nice features are Ovi Maps and social networking integration such as Facebook, MySpace and YouTube. The colors available are black and white for the front panel and red, pink, blue, yellow, silver and dark silver for the rear covers. It will retail for $215 later this year.

iPhone app to provide a virtual bike fitting room

test-rides.jpg
Oh the joys of riding the bike in the mornings on empty streets and through the woods, it is all such a wonderful experience. Couple that with a badly fitted bike and you have an aching back, wrists, legs and probably every other part of your body. The Test Rides iPhone app is a virtual bike fitting room, which measures you up for the perfect-sized bicycle. You just have to click a picture of your self from the sides in a sitting position with the hands and legs properly exposed and then place crosshairs over your joints like elbows, ankles, knees and so on. Test Rides then computes this information and tells you what size and shape of bike you need, from the length of the forks to the drop of the bottom bracket.

Jintailin's 999s is a flowery eye sore mobile phone

iPhone_mini.jpg
While I don't mind some gadgets being targeted to the fairer sex, this one is just plain hideous! Not everything cute and flowery will appeal to the girls. Jintailan's 999 is apparently an iPhone mini with a dedicated flower pattern and gravity sensor. It features a 2.6" display with 240x320 pixels, MP3 ringtones, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a gig of storage and "7 common games." You can get your hands on it for $120. I personally think, they have overdone the flowers and feminine angle. Maybe next time they will go a little easy on it.

Retrostar Handset: Coolest retro mobile phone accessory

mobile_retro_handset.jpg
I thought mobile phones eliminate the need of a more traditional handset receiver, apparently not though. Not that I am complaining, because I quite like the retro orange look. Who needs a bluetooth headset, when you can have Retrostar! It's good to know that sometimes technology regresses as to be cool and hip. You can buy it for $42 here.

Beautiful Japanese iPhone Cases priced higher than the iPhone itself

iPhone-cases.jpg
The Japan Texture series of cases for the iPhone feature some breathtakingly beautiful Japanese art. They look lovely and are historically accurate. It all sounds good so far, but you have to remember that these cases cost more than an iPhone. This doesn't make any sense to me. Why would you pay more for the case than you did for the phone? Anyway, there are five case designs that depict art of the Sengoku period and they come with a storage box if you feel that it needs protecting. I thought the cases are meant to protect and don't need any protection. I suppose if they arre covered in lacquer and gold dust, they do. The price of a single case is $1000. Yeah, right, moving along.

Sony Ericsson's Jalou, a gorgeous phone with hot curves for the ladies

Sonyericsson's_Jalou.jpg
Sony Ericsson's newest ladyphone, the Jalou is extremely stylish and trendy. It does look a little chunky, but it is actually very compact. It's features include a flip-phone, with 3G, a 3.2-megapixel camera, video recording, Bluetooth 2.0, A-GPS, a monochrome external display, MicroSD expansion and a full Google mobile software suite, including a YouTube app. All this sounds extremely enticing coupled with the fabulous looks. The Jalou is totally in touch with fashion, so it should easily appeal to the fashionistas. It's pretty cool that at the touch of a button the screen becomes a mirror, offering a discreet way to make sure you look as good as your mobile phone. Also, the Walk Mate step counter keeps you fit. It's exclusive fashion interface automatically updates with zodiac signs and special events throughout the year. See why it would be a complete hit with a girl? There's no word on the price yet.

Texting can take a toll on the intelligence of teens

texting.jpg
The number of people texting is growing every year and more and more teens are opting for this mode of communication. They have even developed a slang for longer words that are very widely acceptable these days. Some researchers have however claimed that this could be bad for the teens brains. Most phones today include the predictive text function that guesses the word after entering the first 2-3 alphabets. While this screams convenience for many, some researchers claim that it may stop teens from thinking.
