Motorola Golden-i headset launched at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona

The annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is like a mecca of cellphones, smartphones and mobile gear. The biggest announcement here was made by Microsoft. They have come up with a branded, updated mobile operating system called Windows Phone 7 Series. It is based on the eye catching Zune HD interface. It’s a really interesting makeover of smartphones. The show also witness the release of Motorola Golden-i. It is a prototype hands-free headset for use in construction or other tough environments where the user has his hands busy, but still needs a computer. It’s pretty cool that it has been designed to fit under a construction helmet and it places a tiny screen up close to the eye which gives the equivalent of a 15-inch display. It also features a headphone, a microphone along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for talking to other devices.
