New T-Mobile Sidekick LX is slimmer and integrates Twitter

The highly anticipated T-Mobile Sidekick LX is finally out. Unlike the earlier Sidekick LX, the newer version offers a slimmed down design and some great new features. This new Smartphone has an impressive design and boasts of a soft-touch finish that gives it a non-slippery texture while grooves on the back allow you to place your index figure when holding the phone. Based on Sharp's Aquos technology, the WVGA display measures 3.2 inches with an 854x480-pixel resolution and swivels open to reveal the QWERTY keyboard.
The phone also boasts of a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD expansion slot and mood/notification LEDs along the top edge of the screen. As for features, the new Sidekick ships with Facebook and Twitter integration in addition to MySpace. Other features include 3G, Flash support, built-in GPS with Microsoft Live Search, Bluetooth 2.0 (A2DP supported), Quick Find universal search, and AIM, Windows Live, and Yahoo instant messaging clients. No modifications have been made to the music player.
Measuring 5.1 inches wide, 2.3 inches high, 0.6 inch thick and weighing just 6 ounces this phone is simply amazing. Current Sidekick owners will get the first dibs on the new device. Online presales start now for a price of $199 with a two-year contract. For the rest, the Sidekick LX will be available in stores nationwide and online on May 13, but final price has yet not been disclosed.
