Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 officially announced in unison with Windows Phone 7.5

It’s hardly a week after the release of Focus S and Focus Flash running on Microsoft’s Mango OS, and we hear some more news- Nokia and Microsoft would be collaborating to release first two Windows Phone 7.5 devices that are going to show up later this year. The Lumia 800 and Lumia 710 from the upcoming description of the specs will assure the Android gang that they’ve made the right choice. The Lumia 800 isn’t big on hardware specs with the 3.7” AMOLED ClearBlack curved display, a single core, 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor and only 16GB of internal memory and no micro SD slot for expansion, but seems to make up for that with the free, 25GB SkyDrive access. The Lumia 800’s shape seems to be inspired by Nokia N9, while it features an 8MP camera, curved Gorilla glass display, a bulky structure of 12.1mm thickness and a weight of 5 ounces. As for the Nokia Lumia 710, it is devoid of the AMOLED display and features a 5 MP camera and a micro SD slot for expansion, unlike the 800. Other specs are 8GB of internal memory. Both the phones run on Windows 7.5 “Mango”.
The Lumia 800 (Cylan, Black and Magenta colors) seems to target he high end with a price tag of $535, while no word on pricing is out on Lumia 710 (black and while colors) yet. The Lumia 800 is supposed to release in Europe, sometime in November and in Asia by the end of the year. Until then, let’s wait in suspension for the War of the Phones to follow.
