Waist Band MP3 player for the active folks

waist_band_mp3_player_1.jpg
I like music and I like funky belts, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of both of them being combined. A Waist Band MP3 Player sounds nice on paper, but I don't get it. Why not just plop your player into your pocket? Apparently, it is made for those who go hiking. It's a handy waist band a MP3 player with remote control for hikers and campers. It supports two MP3 song sources (Slots): SD Card and Flash Memory. Needless to say that it's hands free. I think I'd rather go for the Hello Kitty MP3 player, but to each his own. This one is available for $33.

Sony Walkman S Series pretty in pink

sony_s_walkman.jpg
Let me confess that I've been a fan of Sony, so my views here might be a little biased. Sony has recently launched the Walkman S Series which is pretty cool. It comes in two versions of 8GB and 32GB and supports MP3, WMA, ATRAC, PCM AAC and HE-AAC audio and MPEG-4, AVC, WMV video. It's good to know that they have included video playback. You will also find an FM radio tuner and a 2” QVGA LCD monitor. I personally like the colors it's available in. There's no no doubt that I'd go for the pretty pink.

Hello Kitty MP3 player will rock your world

hello-kitty-mp3-player-1.jpg
Hello Kitty is here again, and this time around, she will make you swing and tap your feet to your favorite tunes. It's the Hello Kitty MP3 player we are talking about and it's seriously cute. It has 2GB internal memory to boast of and a battery that lasts for 10 hours. This specifications aren't anything to write home about, but Hello Kitty fans will be excited nonetheless. The nicest bit is that it comes with a Hello Kitty Angel and Devil Skin. So your guilty conscience will always be at play! Who do you think will win, the kitty angel or devil? I'm going with the horns. You can pre-order the player here for $159. Not a bad deal in my opinion if you are a hardcore fan. Speaking of Hello Kitty gadgets, have you tried the Hello Kitty 3G Phone?

More news on the much awaited Ceramic Speakers by Joey Roth

ceramic_speaker_1.jpg
The Ceramic Speakers by Joey Roth are much awaited. There's news on this front, both positive and negative. Let's get the bad news over with first. The release date of these speakers is pushed to November 1, so we are in for a longer wait than expected. However, the wait might be worth it as the unit will feature an even better amplifier. So every dark cloud has a silver lining! Personally, I love the simple yet classy looks. Maybe you would like something cuter like the Teddy Bear Speakers. I can't update you on the price of these speakers at the moment.

Teddy Bear Speakers to rock your world

Teddy_Bear_Speakers.jpg
Of all the pink and girly thing I like, I've never been a fan of teddy bears. I feel they are too conventional, but I'm fully aware of what a big hit they are with girls. So here are some mini Teddy Bear speakers for your listening pleasure. They look cute enough, but they don't have any eyes! That's a little bit strange. You can easily attach them to your purse or gym bag for a small portable and cute way to travel with speakers. I'm sure they will turn out to be conversation starters as well. They are available in six fun colors at Rinkya for $21.50. If you want a little more animal inspired 'geekiness' in your life, check out the Piggy USB Necklace.

Heartbeats ear buds by Lady Gaga to rock your world

lady_gaga_earbuds.jpg This might sound absurd, but for a while I wasn't even aware of who Lady Gaga is. Then i found out that she is some sort of a fashion/music icon. I'm not impressed by her style or her music, however I know that her records and concert tickets sell like hot cakes. She has teamed up with Monster to throw out stylish ear buds at us called “Heartbeats by Lady Gaga.” I've got to admit that they aren't hideous like her music at all. Their diamond shape is rather endearing and apparently they make music come to life. They come in red, black and silver. They will also have Monster’s “ControlTalk” which is a built in mic and remote for several iPods including the iPhone 3GS and the buttonless iPod shuffle. It's the perfect music accessory for any self proclaimed diva or Lady Gaga fan. I'm going to have to say pass to these babies especially after reading that they are priced ranging from $100 to $150. I prefer David Formula's exquisite earphones by a mile!

Crystal headphones are totally in vogue these days and they are obviously being marketed towards girls who are supposed to like everything shiny and pretty. Sony Walkman S-Series with in-built speakers for the very first time

sony-walkman-s-series_1.jpg
The Sony Walkman series isn't my favorite MP3 player, but they have done a good job sprucing it up. Sony has recently added a new MP3 player to its range with the launch of the Sony Walkman S-Series. This is the first time Sony's Walkman will feature a pair of built in stereo speakers. As for the looks, it's very sleek and stylish and comes with a feature a pair of built in stereo speakers. It's capable of up to 42 hours of audio playback and up to 6.5 hours of video playback. It also includes a built in FM radio, and features a tuner record function that will let your record radio broadcasts direct to your Walkman. I especially like the variety of colors which includes black, pink, violet and red. The pink is really hot.

Play some snazzy tunes with the Musical Ruler

musical_ruler.jpg
Everyone loves some music in their time and I'm sure we've all wanted to master an instrument at some point of time. However, in this busy life, we just cannot seem to find the time to put in the efforts. But this plastic ruler with printed finger markings and note positions is a great little musical device. All you have to do is slide it up towards the edge of the desk to alter the note and you can play any tune from classical to pop. It's a nice product, as you can simply fill up your boredom with some fun tunes with the ruler. The pack includes musical ruler and one instructional song booklet.

iPod slide wows you with its slim and sleek design

ipod-slide1.jpg
Apple is known for it's ultra sleek and stylish designs. The iPod already looks amazing and I had no idea that it was need of sprucing up. But check out this new concept that has given it a new look with the iPod Slide. It comes with a hot slim and sleek body which really sets it apart from any media player out there. Another outstanding feature is that it can be controlled by thermal sensors, which would be the first time ever in an Apple product. Unfortunately it is a concept and will never see the light of the day. But hey, it does not hurt to imagine, does it?

Auvio Pearl Buds Pretty-N-Pink review

Auvio_Pearl_Buds.jpg The Auvio Pearl Buds arrived just in time when my old earphones stopped playing my favorite numbers from my iPod. The Pretty n Pink version did succeed in wooing my teen too. Packed neatly in a blue box, this set of earphones sport a petite round shape that can snuggle in the tiniest of the ears with ease. Offering three sizes of silicon tips, the earphones certainly look promising. However it’s the acoustic quality that I am keener to inspect. All things bright and beautiful may not necessarily serve comparable purpose. So I immediately plugged them into my iPod and let the MJ numbers flow through. Since his death, MJ songs tops my playlist of most-listened-songs. Ever heard about ‘absence makes a heart fonder’? Anyways, let’s talk about the Pink pearls of Auvio for now. Honestly I was expecting brilliant output. Though not pathetic, the sound quality is tolerable when compared to its price tag (about $15). The technical features include 22-19,000Hz frequency response, 96dB plus/minus 5dBsensivity and 16 ohms impedance. The in-ear desing also helps to reduce, not eliminate, outside noise disturbance. Also specially designed iPhone compatible 24k gold-plated 1/8” plug can fit recessed headphone jacks. Finally I can sum it up by saying that the Pretty N Pink Auvio Pearl Buds will satisfy not-so quality conscious female consumers with its performance and of course cute pink color.

Artist creates music from humans with the Humanthesizer

Humanthesizer.jpg
Who would’ve thought our body parts can be used to create music? Electronic musician Calvin Harris and Sony Music UK have jointly created the Humanthesizer with the use of and Bare conductive body ink. The ink was put on 15 bikini clad women to create a giant human synthesizer capable of playing Harris's latest single, Ready For The Weekend. The performers stood on the pads and touched each other on the hands or body to complete a circuit and trigger a sound. Harris had his hands painted with the ink and played the main keyboard line and effects by interacting with a row of eight girls. The rhythmic portions of the track were played by seven dancers by performing a carefully choreographed routine. Watch the video to believe what I am saying. Its pure genius!

Shiny products targeted towards women: Go or no go?

chicbuds.jpg
These days most companies are using a ploy of attracting the ladies with shiny things attached to their products. While, I like some shine every once in a while, I don't like the fact that it's taken for granted that women will go for glitter no matter what. The recent Hello Kitty Camera with Swarovski crystals might appeal to me, the PinkTooth Bluetooth Wireless Headset with Swarovski crystals is a bit too much for me. Chicbuds makes everything a little too glittery. They say that they are "products made by women for women." I don't want so much bling in my ears. Celebrities like Paris Hilton sport these extra shiny diva accessories and suddenly it's a given that a normal girl will follow suit. No, I don't think so. While we girls enjoy our pink, we like it in small doses. Don't hand us a bottle of Pepto Bismol please! What's your take on the shiny pink craze?

Look like a kitten with the Cat Earphones

Cat_Earphones.jpg
I know I love Hello Kitty a lot, but I would never want to wear anything that remotely resembles cat ears. At least not unless it's Halloween. These Cat Earphones attempt to make you look like a kitten everyday. I suppose it would be cute, but on a baby. Maybe I'll buy them when I'm going to a Halloween party and can discreetly listen to my MP3 player and ignore all the boring music they play these days. Anyway if you like furry things and music, this is definitely for you. Available in white and black with a touch of pink, they can be yours for $20 here.
