Mp3 player belt for unborn babies attempt at 'womb-training'
|

A device called BLABY, consisting of a contoured belt stitched with an MP3 player that could be worn by expectant mothers was unveiled yesterday. The device consists of a series of special ‘speakers’ that transmit vibrations from the music to the foetus. Designed by Canadian design student Geof Ramsay, the belt also boasts of tiny mechanisms at the back that provide the mother-to-be with a relaxing massage. According to designer Geof Ramsay, the simple device gives mothers a chance to try out the theory that music is a catalyst for an unburned child’s mental growth.
Classic music is generally the ideal choice, but there is nothing wrong in playing your favorite Beatles or even Led Zeppelin. Unfortunately, like all nifty products, this one is also in its prototype phase, hence there is no decided pricing scheme as yet.
