Seiko’s e-ink watch for ladies

The award winning technology used by Seiko to make its e-ink watches has just got its feminine form. Using the technology from E Ink Corporation, the watch is a delightful bracelet for women. Set the watch to its 'efficiency' mode; the display is informative and easy to read. Or set it to its 'mystery' mode, the panel expresses the time in a more imaginative, evocative style. The display is made up of pure black and pure white particles which allow the same contrast as on a printed page; twice the contrast, in fact, of a LCD panel. It features extended battery life due to the fact that the display is readable under very low light conditions. The watch is much thinner than any other because of the technology used.

The ink display is encased under a 360-degree continuous sapphire crystal. Measurements of the new ink watch are Diameter: outside 75.3mm, Inside 61.5mm, Width 22.0mm, Thickness: 6.9mm and the weight is 80g. Seiko’s Electronic Ink watch should be priced at more that $2000, no word on availability as yet.
