Shiny products targeted towards women: Go or no go?
|

These days most companies are using a ploy of attracting the ladies with shiny things attached to their products. While, I like some shine every once in a while, I don't like the fact that it's taken for granted that women will go for glitter no matter what. The recent Hello Kitty Camera with Swarovski crystals might appeal to me, the PinkTooth Bluetooth Wireless Headset with Swarovski crystals is a bit too much for me. Chicbuds makes everything a little too glittery. They say that they are "products made by women for women." I don't want so much bling in my ears. Celebrities like Paris Hilton sport these extra shiny diva accessories and suddenly it's a given that a normal girl will follow suit. No, I don't think so. While we girls enjoy our pink, we like it in small doses. Don't hand us a bottle of Pepto Bismol please! What's your take on the shiny pink craze?
