Zune-Pink to hit the shelves on May 1st
|
Many gadgets come out with a pink version for mainly two reasons. 1) To woo the female customers and gain profits by over-pricing them. 2) To justify the pricing by linking it to some charity organization. Now since the Pink Zune seems to be being launched sans a charity organization linked to it we will spare Microsoft our reservations, as they seem to do their bit for charity regularly. The Pink Zune will feature a 30GB memory and a built-in FM tuner among other things. You can even share (wirelessly) selected full-length sample tracks, playlists, pictures or your homegrown tracks directly from Zune to Zune.1. It allows you to listen to the full-length songs that you receive up to three times in three days, pick the ones you like and buy them the next time you sync up. You can discover new music in the Zune Marketplace too.
Though Microsoft did try to fork in extra publicity and cash when they came out with 100 limited-edition pink Zunes last year, this time around they will go for as little as $250.
