A Women-only Car Park at Chinese Mall! Ridiculous!
Women according to me are safer drivers than men. But there are small amounts who confess they couldn’t park their cars well to save their lives. Most wouldn’t be parked at the very first attempt but does that really matter? Yes it does according to the Chinese. A Chinese shopping centre has gone a step further and developed a car park to cater especially to woman for their ‘special needs’. Obviously they think women are not that well trained when it comes to parking hence this step and bigger-than-normal parking spaces. Bays have extra lighting and the color scheme is pink and light purple and also has specially trained female parking attendants.
Wang Zheng, an official at the Wanxiang Tiancheng shopping centre adds, ‘The spaces are ‘one metre wider than normal parking spaces and the mall had ‘installed signs and security monitoring equipment that corresponded more to women’s needs.’ They might have made a very small percentage of women happy but the bra-burning feminists are surely striking out this mall from their lists!
