Fashionable sunglasses put women drivers at risk!
|

I’m sure men are gonna love to read this and enjoy picking on to our clan for tilting more towards fashion. But gals, it’s a fact; a specific insurance firm, Sheilas' Wheels, has reported that almost two-thirds of women drivers opt for style rather than safety when picking shades. They also found out that only two out the five fashionable shades they considered were safe. Thumbs down to the latest rage of chunky oversized frames with wide arms and Pink lenses. And thumbs up for aviator style shades in addition to anti-reflective lenses in brown or grey. Actually chunky frames pose a hazard when driving as we need a good all-round vision and a visual range of at least 120 degrees while driving. So time to change shades buddy cause we don’t want to risk our lives and others too. Take a look at Paris Hilton, Victoria Beckham, and Nicole Richie and how they are putting style before safety.

Here are some facts from research - The vast majority of Britain's 14.4million female motorists admit to putting style before safety. More than eight out of ten women (82 per cent) surveyed failed to consider safety when choosing sunglasses for driving - equivalent to 11.8million female motorists. It's so embarrassing to realize that fewer than one in five (18 per cent) of women bought sunglasses specifically for driving while almost two-thirds (61 per cent) based their choice on appearance rather than practicality.
Divas, it's time to be more practical!
