Finalists of Miss England pull convertible for charity

Many watched as Rachel Christie was crowned Miss England this Monday. But the climb to this spot was definitely not easy. All contestants had to prove their mettle and strength. And one such display of strength came prior the event, when the 12 Miss England finalists were asked to drag a pink Mini convertible into London to raise money for charity. The finalists used a tow rope to pull the car 15 meters with last year's winner Laura Coleman in the driving seat. Their show of strength and drive to succeed managed to raise £5,000 ($8,250) towards a fundraising target of £35,000 ($57,700) to be divided between The Variety Club, eating disorders charity B-Eat, and The National Autistic Society. This amazing display of teamwork and strength has shown that it’s a combination of power, beauty and brains that makes a true winner.
