GTX Corp. and Aetrex team up to create GPS shoe for Alzheimer’s patients

GPS_shoe.jpg Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia and many patients suffering from this incurable disease are sometimes left wandering the streets as they lose their way back home. So it is but obvious that if you are looking after a close one who is suffering from Alzheimer’s you are bound to be under constant stress and worry. To help you reduce stress and also keep an eye on your loved one, GTX Corporation and Aetrex have developed an extremely useful shoe which has a built-in GPS system. Not only will the GPS shoe’s chip allow parties to track the person online but they can also receive real time updates as they are on the move. This shoe will definitely be of great use and will help save the lives of many disoriented patients who are sometimes lost for days.

This amazing shoe is expected to arrive in the markets by 2010 with a suggested price range of $200 - $300. Purchasers will also have the option of setting up a boundary system and for an additional fee of $20 a month they can receive alerts if the patient leaves the designated area.
