Eight year old Tanhayer Lowe has never gotten a haircut before this resulting in locks that are almost 3 feet long. It kind of reminds me of Rapunzel. Eager to get her locks cut short, she finally convinced her mother that it was for the best. Her mother was in love with the long hair, but finally gave in. Little Tanhayer offered to give her trimmed locks to a charity which makes wigs for young girls who are having cancer treatment. She says, 'I am really happy. I wasn't nervous in the end and I am glad I have it done. I think it looks good and that the money will do a lot of good. It is nice that my hair will go to make a wig for someone. I wanted to raise money for children who aren't as lucky as me and I was looking forward to seeing what I look like with short hair.' Her mother who was reluctant at first is very proud of her daughter now. Tanhayer's long locks cut by a local hair dresser will be sent to the Little Princess Trust, which supports children undergoing chemotherapy treatment. She has raised $1000 for charity.
