Mother rewards teenage daughter with cigarettes

Teenage daughters are very difficult to deal with and I sympathize with parents who have to handle the antics of their teenage kids. Remember watching the movie 13? It is any parent's worse nightmare if they have a daughter. A most reasonable way of tackling your teenage brat is grounding or in extreme cases boot camp (it works!). But Tracy Holts is a mother who believes in a completely new method of disciplining. Her daughter is a rebel without a cause and indulges in all the vices like drinking, smoking, drugs and sex. To any normal parent this is disturbing to say the least, but Miss Holt thinks this behavior is sweet. Tracy actually rewards with daughter with cigarettes for every time that she is obedient and behaves well. Uh…Miss Holt, I'd like to remind you that handing out cancer sticks to your kid is more or less encouraging her to walk down the road of delinquency. Tracy is relieved that Sam's drinking problem is limited only a couple of cans of lager every night and the fact that Sam lost her virginity at 12, is okay because she has been using contraception. Some people look for the silver lining around a dark cloud far too much.

Not surprisingly, Tracy is a jobless single mother and here is what she had to say to Closer Magazine: 'I don't see the point in punishing her. If I ground her, I'm just punishing myself because I have to put up with her in the house. Instead, I reward her good behavior by giving her cigarettes. If she's bad, she goes without. She's a little comedian. I let her get away with a lot of cheek. It's sweet.' What is the world coming to!
