Nintendo to release the 3DS in two awesome new colors in Taiwan and Hong Kong

With the world gearing up for the release of the next generation of the 3D handheld console from Nintendo, it would seem like all their efforts would be focused towards getting these the most attention possible. But in their infinite wisdom, they have not forgotten their older classic products. The Nintendo 3DS is all set to release in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Instead of the same old boring pastel colors, Nintendo is bringing two all-new colors to the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets when the handheld officially launches there in September. One is “Cerulean Blue”, while the other is “Shimmer Pink”. These are quite distinctive from the Blue and Pink released in the western countries. “Cerulean” is quite a bit brighter than the current Aqua Blue, while “Shimmer” is more hot pink to the pastel “Pearl Pink”. These new colors are bound to get the attention of a whole new generation of 3DS users.


The Nintendo 3DS, including the new colors, and Nintendo 3DS XL are releasing side by side in Hong
Kong and Taiwan in September. Of course, these new colors are just for the 3DS, not the 3DS XL
which will be released in Blue/Black and White options like the rest of the world.
